The more interesting news here is that a new DS model is even more probable now - remember, Nintendo said the new model was "pure speculation", but they never denied its existance as far as I know.

They really are making a new model of DS? Even though the DS Lite is doing well? I wonder what the reasoning is... Mii support alone can't be it; I'm sure they can find a way to update the DS firmware via the Wii as it is.
Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

I have three DS Lites currently. May find myself having a fourth DS if this is true.
If.

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't then. DS is selling perfectly fine as it is, they might introduce some new colors perhaps, but no new hardware features. Especially since any new hardware features would alienate current DS owners...
Anything you do on a DS Lite can be done on an old DS...the new DS is just thinner, brighter, etc. If there was some sort of Mii integration only possible on a new DS, the service would completely alienate the existing 70-80 million DS users.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
IT's time for me to have a new DS as well, I like the mii feature their putting in the new ds, and I hope theres new features that involve a sd card slot and the ability to play VC games
