So, so many misconceptions and dehumanizing terminology in this thread. It actually makes me sad because I like to think that we, as a society, have come to terms with certain things and have come a long way towards understanding and respecting one another.

That said, on topic, I wouldn't be interested in utilizing a prostitute's services. Not for any reason you might think - I'm not monogamous, I don't think it's demeaning, I don't think it's too cheap or too expensive or too dangerous, I'm not hung up about waiting for marriage, and I don't have strong opinions on prostitution. I just don't have interest in sex. I find myself bored and nonchalant about sex when I literally have men or women throwing themselves at me (I'm not an attractive person but I have more than a few skills that have made me well-liked among my group of friends; parts of me are coveted by locals.)

I masturbate a lot, sure, but actual sex is far more work than it's worth. the time, the effort, the foreplay on both sides, the energy expenditure, the awkwardness, and the time - did I mention how much time it takes to finish? it just feels like nothing. Condoms are the bane of sex but I refuse to have sex without them because the last thing I need is to deal with a pregnancy. I'm not worried about STDs, I chose my partners carefully, but pregnancy is the ultimate parasite and one of the worst things that could happen to me. Gonna just get the tubes tied and call it a lifetime of fun, in theory. You know, just in case.
