Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is it bad that Switch fans want everything on Switch ?Makes Xbox more irrelevant

Switch getting third party titles will not hurt XBO/PS4. It doesn't matter if Switch gets every CoD and Fifa, the people that play those games are on PS4/XBO and will stay there.

So you shouldn't be worried about it.

It's never bad that people want games on the Console they own.

Xbox still has backwards compatibility which neither Sony nor Nintendo have. And almost every third party game is much more enjoyable on Xbox One/Playstation 4 than on Switch.

Seems like that is more of a performance/graphical standpoint. Didnt you like some gamea more on vita than ps3 before? Isn't it the same for the switch due to portability?

Backwards compatibility is one thing I forgot . This just ended my thread :/

Eh, it doesn't really have anything to do with your thread. Will Switch getting new third party games as well as PS4/Xbox have an affect on their sales? I don't see BC really mattering for that discussion.

It depends on the game. A lot of games that released on Vita/PS3 were low-budget so it didn't matter which you buy because they were the same. AAA games which released on both consoles like Borderlands 2 or Mortal Kombat where the PS3 versions were the graphically better versions are more enjoyable on the PS3. The portability of the Vita was never really important for me because I rarely use it outside of my house. I only bought AAA games with inferior versions for my PS Vita when I had too much other games to play on the PS3. But overall I would always choose the better version if I want to buy a new game because quality is more important for me than portabilitly.

Yeah no, Switch gamers don't really want every third party game, they clearly showed disinterest in most AAA ports like Doom and Wolfenstein 2.
There are already cancellations of third party games like Steep on Switch as companies see that people aren't spending big bucks on AAA third party games on the Switch.

Xbox One X is the only console with RDR in 4K, and Far Cry 5 in 4K. Its the only console where you can play most PS3 era multiplatform games along with PS4 era multiplatform games, sometimes in their best console versions. It has Xbox Game Pass, an amazing value for money program.

Of course Xbox One already has a host of games from 2013 to 2017 that haven't appeared on the Switch and never will. Xbox One will always be relevant, its the only console with Forza Horizon ;)

Yes, port begging is the worst thing anyone can do.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

When the Switch will surpass the One in sales, the One will be remined as the dreamcast of this generation.

Now you wanna play good AAA games, you buy a PS4. You wanna play it in (almost) 4K with good exclusives, you buy a PS4 Pro. You wanna play it on your phone, on your Vita, or in another room,  you also buy a PS4.

You want to play it in on the go while playing excellent Nintendo games, you buy a Switch.

If you want to play AAA games without good exclusives no VR support nor portability whatsoever, well you can buy an Xbox.
