Personally, I don't see much growth potential for the Killzone series and think Guerrilla will be better off making another new IP. On the other hand, creating a new IP takes a lot of time and making another Killzone game is more efficient.

Glad to see them expanding. I would love a VR Exclusive Killzone game. Killzone 3 in 3D with the Sharpshooter is still by far my favorite AAA FPS game. Farpont and Arizona Sunshine have passed it now in VR, but I fully believe GG could set the bar with a fully funded AAA VR Killzone.
Then of course a new Horizon has to happen. I just hope that they make it both retro and VR capable. H:ZD would have been even better if it supported at least the PSVR Head Mounted Display.

Good news... Love Horizon and can only expect nothing but great games from them
Thinking it would be a good idea if they became a Santa Monica for the Dutch and help indie developers in the country. But yeah Killzone 2 was one of my favorite shooters last gen and favorite mp too. Still have to play Horizon sometime.
Bet with gooch_destroyer, he wins if FFX and FFX-2 will be at $40 each for the vita. I win if it dont

Super news. Let's have horizon 2 on ps5 then a new ip later that gen. Another team can make a knew killzone if they wish. Maybe ready at dawn want another shot at the big time. Hopefully good guy Sony is feeling good.

The 3dsharp shooter of kz3 was super hard but very immersive their ps5vr2 kz version would be fantastic

I guess this means Horizon 2 will release much earlier 😁. I dont know what to make of the comment about newIP. I feel it is more likely they will go back to making a new Killzone, (since it is one of Sony's few MP focussed series) rather than make a completely new IP. Especially considering they just made one new IP recently.

Seeing the success of Horizon, I think there's a fat chance we're getting yet another new IP from them on PS5.
I'd be all over a new GOOD Killzone game though as I loved Killzone 2 and 3. Maybe a spin off where the story is told from the perspective of the Helghan people. The Helghan lore has so much potential.
This is probably Sony's answer to. Microsoft acquiring new studio's. I prefer that Sony keeps expanding exsisting studio's over acquiring new ones.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Sony are also building a brand new studio from the ground up right now with Quentin Cobb leading it.
He worked on Uncharted and TLOU, IIRC.
