interesting.. the news/rumor today: Guerrilla Appears to Be Making a Multiplayer Game.
But i'm sure, they have two new game for the next 4 years! Horizon Zero Dawn 2 too!!


Granblue Fantasy: Versus will be playable at Granblue Extra Fes 2019 in Sendai and Osaka, publisher Cygames announced.
The Sendai event will be held on July 27 and 28 at the Yume Messe Miyagi, and the Osaka event will be held on August 3 and 4 at Intex Osaka.
Granblue Fantasy: Versus is due out for PlayStation 4 worldwide in 2019. The big Granblue Fantasy JRPG for PS4 is coming 2020.

Sony Announces Name Changes are available, now.

Hideo Kojima is a legend :) With Metal Gear Solid 1-4 he has created incredible things, with philosophy and big sense. Many people became a gamer through him. With MGS2 he has predicted the NSA situation and how much America is controlled by the market. With Zone of the Enders 2 the best anime Mecha Game. On the PS3 there was a strong Castlevania title, which had a nice quality thanks to Kojima. The successor was really bad and got bad reviews without him. And with P..T. demo something ingenious. In addition, Kojima is one of the few developers responsible for everything (story, design, dialogues, gameplay features, characters (together with Yoji Shinkawa), world-details, Ideas ect :)

I was able to talk to him for 10 minutes at the Games Convention (in Germany) and ask a lot of questions. I used that correctly: D It was very interesting! Soundtracks and emotions are an important topic for him. Even as a human i like him very much. How he lived his life, had a very clear idea as a child, and arranges for the homeless in Japan.

Thats why and because more reasons, i love Kojima-san! For this reason, "Death Stranding" is bought on the first day, in future. I love his passion for video games!

And even MGS 5 was partly awesome,you can really notice the struggle between him and Konami midgame sadly.

Sony is in a much better position at the end of Gen8 than they were Gen7.

They just need a PS2 or PS4 type of transition this time around instead of another PS3 and they'll be golden.

I agree the transition should be smooth without any problems. Hitting the correct price point for PS5 is all that really matters now.

I think ideally Sony will use the launch lineup for new IPs, or not extremely popular IP. If you ask me, a sequel to GoW, Horizon, UC or Spider-Man would not make much sense at launch.

I also think whatever has been confirmed for PS4 stays PS4. Sony aren't dropping it anytime soon; it will be am money maker easily through 2021.

I think the Guerrilla 2nd team thing is based on speculation cause they hired the Rainbow 6 MP director or something. Exciting, and I imagine that will launch before Horizon 2 (if its a different game) 

With a higher PS5 launch price, early adopters are probably going to expect at least one big game around that same time. Whether PS drags out what's left of the exclusives so at least one closely aligns with the launch, or has something new planned, they will need something worthwhile regardless. If PS4 is $399-$449, they can probably get away without any major new exclusives for a little while. Affordable or a touch on the high side, if PS5 launches during the holiday season, it wouldn't be a surprise for them to have some timed exclusivity deals with big third party titles and then ride that out until spring 2021 before dropping a first party exclusive.

I'm not sure if PS would risk a new IP as the reason to buy PS5 early on, as that could backfire if it doesn't catch on, but I also don't see it being GOW, HZD, UC, or SPDY related. Another GOW style reboot for an older franchise may do the trick though if done right. I also believe part of the reason we haven't seen anything new is because TLOU2, DS, GOT, etc, are almost certain to land on PS4, but exclusive games beyond that either aren't, or they haven't decided when to end PS4 exclusive first party content just yet, considering it's massive future user base.

It does sound like Guerrilla has at least two games on the go at the moment, and possibly a third in the early planning stages, but I would highly doubt HZD2 is ready by late 2020. I would guess whichever game they are working on now that's not HZD2, could be seen late 2020 or 2021, with HZD2 probably being a year or two after that.
