Downloading Horizon Forbidden West, what's the verdict here, isit better than the first game?

Yes in all things I can imagine, although well the first was fresher.

Looks like I'll be in for a nice performance upgrade for the second half of my Forbidden West playthrough:

As if 1.0 wasn't impressive enough...

Nice. Performance mode before was quite iffy before in terms of image quality and outputting to an otherwise beautiful looking game (the shimmering was on another level). Glad they resolved it.

Getting close to fidelity mode at 60FPS is pretty nice if you ask me! And same, I haven't got that far in but will have to pick this up again with this new patch.

With Sony having Callisto Protocol marketing, I wonder if there's any hope for post launch VR implementation.

I feel with the likes of RE4 and RE8 having VR content, it would make sense for Sony to push for CP, Dead Space and TloU to have it too.

That is a nice probability.

On the HFW patch, unfortunately I was day one player so I was on the bugs and glitches although those were minimal. And well I prefer fidelity mode anyway.

So, my uncle just gave me a very generous graduation gift, and I'm tempted to use it for a PS5. Anyone know of a service or something I could subscribe to so they'll let me know when and where they're in stock? I know websites I could check manually, but none that will proactively let me know.

I know there are automated Discord servers you can join that notify the group (and provide links) when gpu stock drops. There are probably some for the various consoles too.

If you were in Brazil I would have.

I guess it's the thought that counts.

There is a leak suggesting that TLoU1 remake is scheduled for September (PC release too), but keep in mind that TloU is not actually mentioned but rather 'Part 1'. So it could be anything really.

If true, Sept seems a little early for me, but I wouldn't be surprised by the PC release being day 1 (or at least announced).

Potential good game to test with.

But then, where does that leave GoWR? That's surely September and I doubt both come in the same month. So, it's probably an allusion to some other game.

The place holder date for GOW in the PSN backend was moved to December. Maybe that means October for GOW, maybe it doesn't mean anything.

what was it before?

I'm reading the rumors that GoW Ragnarok has indeed been delayed to 2023

Hoping it's all false, but it continues to be odd that there's still no release date and Sony notoriously stays out of holiday release windows outside of launch games for a new console release.
