I thought it was a big deal.  Then I played Miles Morales. Also sack boys big adventure.

Miles and Sackboy are as good as Demon souls and Returnal.  The load times, the graphics, dual sense, and 3d audio etc.

I've seen no evidence of one dragging down the other.

Exactly, some people don't seem to realize that cross-generational development isn't a zero-sum game. Developing it for both doesn't mean it's gonna be relegated to the lowest common denominator. Making tweaks for one generation or another doesn't mean the PS5 version is going to be hampered. That's a conjured, imaginary concept. A hypothetical. Sure, it CAN be the case, but it's not like that by default. Cross-generational development doesn't automatically mean the PS5 version is going to be compromised. It might, but it's not automatic.

Like you, after Miles Morales and other cross-generational games, I say we wait and see rather than focus on fantasies and fiction conjured in our minds about what may have been.

So this means up until PS4 at least every PS console will have 2 mainline Gran Turismo.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Cross-gen discussions aside.. In that same Hermen Hulst interview, it sounds like Sony is expanding Team Asobi -

"We’re building Team Asobi in Tokyo, a world-class studio that are developing a franchise for all ages with global appeal. Such a creative team."

Woop, another fully fledged Astrobot game in the works no doubt!

Yup. Japan Studio has been restructured around Asobi and presumably Astro Bot. Makes sense from a business standpoint. JS games were creative but struggled to find success. Now they have a winning formula to get behind.

For me that was always the intention when they remade the Japan Studio into team asobi. They will focus in that area and expand from there, since it seems like they got more quality and success from team asobi then from the other studios.

Hideo Kojima retweeted the 'Whats Next' interview with Hermen Hulst.

And if we look at his previous Tweets from him and his co-worker

True, that team has been on a roll lately. Astro's Playroom is probably new best game I've played from them in years (not played Astrobot yet) and that was just a short game and a demo lol.

@twintail

Not a big fan of Days Gone but thats cool. Nice to have a confirmation for a new IP from them.

I would love for them to be a 2 team developer.

Astro + a local multiplayer game.

He maybe announcing the Xbox exclusive game at the MS E3 showcase according to Geoff Keighley's twitter rumor.
