San Andreas was $50, God of War is $60.

Was San Andreas really 50 on the ps2 when it launched? I tried to find the pricing but couldn't find anything.

60$ price began in the PS3 era

We got something like 3M in first week WW from SSM disclosure.

more than 3.1m WW in its first 3days..... Im guessing 10days of sales has to be ~5m.

Yes it's possible.

Didn't say you did. Just that some are now expecting 15M at least on one of the GoW threads there were 12 to 15M expectations.

Yeah my bad, I misread your comment the first time, I was at work and had a quick peek on my phone lol, when you said "Nope" I thought you were saying no it won't sell higher than 10m, lol :P

No problem. We all commit those type of mistakes.

I predicted 15+ million lifetime in my thread.

I still thinks it’s definitely possible.

I think it will be hard, but surely I wouldn't say it's impossible. Was just saying to Bristow that some expect it. Since GoW is on unprecedented sales compared to other GoW all guesses between 8 and 15M are possible imho.

I don't know how I forgot that.

PS2

1 GRAND THEFT: ANDREAS Take-Two Interactive $100,879,300 - 2,053,983

Those are the numbers for GTA:SA in October 2004

Thought this deserves its own thread

God of War has had a better debut than any other PlayStation exclusive ever, according to The NPD Group. Not only was it the best-selling game in the U.S. in April, but it’s performance in its first month also outpaces all other PlayStation exclusives. That’s not just PlayStation 4 — it’s for any PlayStation since the platform’s debut in 1995.

God of War of War came out on April 20, so it was only available for 10 days in the month. But it was still able to break the record, beating Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which came out for the PlayStation 2 in October 2004.

So it sold 3.1M bundles? Holy shit, VGC needs to correct their numbers.

Wrong thread, this is NPD. It sold however many bundles in the US+ 1.9m.
