Well, Pocahontas is not the n word to native americans and he didn't try use that character's name in that way. He called her that to make fun of her claiming to be one which is essentially calling her a lier. Trump likes to give nicknames to people to highlight their flaws or something they said or done. No. It was a racist thing to say. If you don't believe me, just find someone who is Native American (it can be anyone) and ask their opinion of the "Pocahontas" refrain from the president. I can pretty much guarantee you they'll tell you something very much like what I just told you.

If you need further proof of what the president's opinion of Native Americans is, as though the fact that he describes Andrew Jackson as his favorite past president were not proof enough, look no further than his oil pipeline policy. The prospect of (among other things) violating the ancestral lands of Native Americans gave Obama pause on approving the construction of, for example, the Keystone XL pipeline. For Trump that was not a problem at all. You can (disingenuously) argue about phrases, but you can't argue about that material reality.

President Trump simply has the same attitude toward First Nations that most Americans did back in the 1950s when he was growing up. Is it any surprise that such a man is also okay with the systematic expulsion of Palestinians from their homes and lands over time as well?

None of the Palestinians in Gaza were thrown out of their homes in the last 5-20 years.   Anyone who left what is now Israel for Gaza did so over 70 years ago.  The only people in Gaza who were thrown out of their homes in the last 20 years were the Jews whose communities were destroyed in 2005, leaving Gaza Jew-free except for those few Jews who are being held hostage by Hamas.

Literally no one at these demonstrations in Gaza under the age of 71 was thrown out of their homes by Israel.  The organizers of the protest are very clear that the goal is to destroy Israel and kill as many Israelis as possible.  When tens of thousands of people mass on a country's border, while hundreds of members of a terrorist organization embedded in the protests attempt to destroy the border fence to break into the country with the stated purpose of mass murder, when those terrorists use kites with firebombs attached in addition to throwing firebombs and other explosives, what nation would not respond with force to prevent these people from infiltrating the border?

It is very sad that a baby died as a result of inhaling tear gas (the child was not shot), but why in the world was a baby at such a protest anyway?  The rioters frequently burn thousands of tires for the purpose of creating thick black smoke.  Smoke inhalation is itself extremely deadly for small children (and adults in many house fires).  In addition, evidence is emerging that casts doubt on the whole story about the baby.

Wait until the identities of the majority of fatalities are revealed, and around 45-50 will have been shown to be active Hamas members or members of other terrorist groups and will have been shown to have been engaging in active infiltration attempts at the fence, the throwing of firebombs, and the operating of kites with firebombs.  That's the way it's gone every time until now, and there's no reason to think this time will be any different.
