Don't know if this has been said yet, but just to drop some important knowledge and give perspective: What a woman says and what they do/react to are not always the same. If she's offended, pay no mind. If she's not offended, also pay no mind. They are very passive and indirect by nature when it comes to their feelings. Regardless if they say something negative or positive towards you, it's not always the whole picture. Always stay centered as a man as that is what can change their feelings even if you're on the side of Friend vs Lover that you don't want to be. No matter what she says, humor is the key generally. If you can make her laugh, you're in the BEST possible position you can be :)

**Rejection or abandonment will still happen most of the time even with being centered, humorous and confident just to keep in mind but this is your best and only option.

Never really strayed close to anything like that. To be honest I see more fascistic alt-right stuff here, but that's probably because this site didn't have proper filters for a long time.

That's how they are.  It's not so much them being dishonest, rather about survival traits.  Women won't be up front about what they're thinking so they test.  How they feel isn't always up to them either.  Women are basically like cats in how their attention span goes.  You can grab their curiosity if you're mysterious (another great attribute to have, never give away your power or what you're all about, keep her guessing so she remains interested), but if you don't interest them in some way they'll be on to the next thing much quicker than guys especially since they have more choice than guys do in this day and age.

you're essentially reducing them down to be objects to be ogled when you do that

They can do whatever they want with their own bodies. And it's not just women, there are men too. A naked picture from them is no different than a normal picture from them, they are just human bodies.
