What a coincidence! In the local newspaper of Widdewiddewieesmirgefällt in Takkatukka it is exactly the opposite:  30 euro for an Xbox One or PS4 with games and 299 for an Xbox360 or PS3.

You can't disprove that anecdote either? What a shame!

funny yet you already accepted that there is X360 with 10 games being sold for 50 USD.

Funny you already accepted that there is Xbox One with a bunch of games being sold for 150 bucks.

And with this you accepted that the price of a Xbox One ain't 10x the price of a Xbox 360. Or 9x. Or 8x. Or 7x. Or 6x. Or 5x...

So you should be ashamed... because you were the one that said that console and PC games launch at the same price, so any difference in any launch would make your claim void, right?

Please show an example.

https://kotaku.com/why-new-video-games-still-cost-60-1545590499

https://steamspy.com/app/292030 cheaper than the 60usd on X1 and PS4

https://steamspy.com/app/550

https://steamspy.com/app/203160

Besides the regular 50% or more discount some months after release and humble deals... why do you think every single PC gamer say SW on PC is cheaper (excluding piracy on this).

I haven't disputed the price of X360 being 10% of X1, have I?

I think this is true for Sony and MS. Nintendo is not define by its exclusives, usually their consoles have some sort of unique to them. Features can be a great but PS4 and XB1 have all the basics, anything else isn't really selling system.

I'm starting to wonder if you are just messing with me at this point.

A)  None of these games are anywhere close to launch.
B)  Look at the Steam prices vs. Gamestop

Currently
Witcher 3:
$40 Steam
$20 XB1
$30 PS4
 https://www.gamestop.com/witcher3

Left 4 Dead 2:
$20 Steam
$25 Xbox360 (hey this one is actually a little cheaper on Steam)
https://www.gamestop.com/games/left-4-dead-2/75064

Tomb Raider (2013):
$20 Steam
$7 XBox360  https://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/games/tomb-raider/88914
$15 PS3  https://www.gamestop.com/ps3/games/tomb-raider/88915
$25 PS4  https://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/tomb-raider-definitive-edition/113246
(Steam is actually in the middle in this one)

Man, I thought if you were going to pick old games, then you would actually pick some that are cheaper on Steam.  I'm not even arguing that old games are cheaper on consoles.  I am totally willing to concede this point, and yet you don't even pick good examples for that.

More importantly, show me a game that just launched in the past 30 days that is $60 on PS4 and $40 on Steam like you previously said.  I mean if you are going to state this as fact, then you should be able to find at least one example.

agreed only reason I don't use our xbox one much is because my kids play minecraft all the time on it

So you are saying a single game disprove the console launch for 60 and PC for 40?

That is basic logic.  One counterexample is enough to disprove a given statement.

The overall trend and consensus is that PC games are in-fact cheaper.
Not just cheaper at launch... But receive significantly larger discounts more frequently.

So you ignored the first link that shows that in the last gen jump PC got 10 USD more expensive (showing that in gen 7 it was indeed average price on launch from 50 on PC vs 60 on console) and also that some games still launch cheaper on PC, and them further ignored that couple months later it get heavily discounted against games on console that take longer... is 3-6 months after a game launch makes it old?

I agree with the consensus that PC games are cheaper overall.  I don't agree that all AAA games launch on PC at $40, which is what DonFerrari claimed.

Whatever point you are making, I probably agree with it.  Did you read what DonFerrari and I are talking about?  It might be good to get some context, before making a post like this.

Right now I am just trying to figure out what your point is?  You said that "PC games launch at $40 and console games launch at $60".  Is that your point?  If so why did you post the links to all of those old games?
