So Sony people saying there's a shortage and Nintendo people saying PS4 is dead in Japan. Where's the truth at?

And people there are also also saying that it is out of stock. One poster said that it's been out of stock on Amazon for a few weeks. I went to check, and right now only the Pro model seems to be sold out there. |
In time when I was made that post almost all people were saying that PS4 dont have stock problems, later some other people said that they are some stock problems.

Right in the middle.
PS4 has minor-moderate stock issues but even with optimal stock, sales would still be mediocre.

So essentially expect to see sales of around 13-15,000 every week for PS4 in Japan? Weird how this happened so suddenly.
Every ps4 model is sold out on amazon unless you want to pay 8-10k more than retail price. Using your eyes is not difficult.

You cant honestly believe a single store had 60-80 units of hardware in stock. |
And why not? "Single store" is a huge 5 stories electronic mega-store like Japan is used to, the Switch shelves (2 shelves, 3-4 meters high) had around 8 stories in total with 8 units on each (2 piles of three, and 2 on their side). Plus other units on another shelf further in the store. Maybe 2/3 were normal ones, 1/3 Splatoon 2 bundles.
Sony shelve had around 3 stories marked for PS4, all empty except for 2 or 3 PSVR, maybe because there is a price cut of 10.000 yens on it right now.
If what a local buyer is telling about his experience doesn't fit your narrative, it doesn't mean that he's lying, just that your narrative is wrong and/or that you don't know what you're talking about.
And instead of talking about me being my back, it would be faster to send me a message to confirm my intentions, no?

It will probably vary a bit. Here are the weekly sales of Q2, 2017.
Week 14-24.5k
Week 15-21.9k
Week 16-19.3k
Week 17-25.3k
Week 18-27.9k
Week 19-17.3k
Week 20-17.3k
Week 21-19.0k
Week 22-21.3k
Week 23-19.1k
Week 24-24.0k
Week 25-25.7k
Week 26-29.2k
It ranged from 17-29k last year so probably in the 13-23k range this year.

Yeah, i was thinking in terms of a typical US retail store like a Walmart or Target where it would be insane to see 60-80 units outside of launch or the holidays, i forgot Japan had those crazy huge electronic stores.
I wasnt talking about you behind your back, the person i responded to is the one who brought you up and i really thought you were mocking him.
