Really awesome to see that MK Wii is going to crush BOTH versions by probably spring of next year, considering how authoritative all of these "educated" estimates were.

I think this whole topic proves that it's foolish to put your full weight behind predictions this generation. Nintendo has surprised plenty of people and shown that you shouldn't underestimate them. Even more foolish to call people "crazy" who think something else.

I sure didn't think MK Wii would go on to exceed combined GTA IV sales, but it is funny to look back and see how many people thought it was completely impossible.

some of these predictions seem outlandish, but one should remember this was when GTA4 was reeling in 10 after 10 in reviews, and before anyone knew that it was just being overflown with heavy hype. you'll notice that the only ones who believed MK would outsell Gta are the hardcore nintendo fans.

this thread should've been revived a little down the road, when MKwii passes GTA in total sales. then crow shall be served.
