Ah yes, the eternal question. When all of the console wars are done and over with people will still be debating whether that game is first or third party. |
What about second party games?

Did people ever decide whether Mario & Sonic should be classed as 1st or 3rd party? Because it would be the same answer as that. |
I'm not sure about that either!

I assume that I was 100% correct since there is no substantial rebuttal on your part. |
No, you're incorrect with at least one of your choices.

I never played Mario + Rabbids, so I couldn't possibly place it above a game I played to completion.
Either Witcher 3 or the entire uncharted series. Also ff7, I get why it's a big deal because it was the first 3d one but 6 and 9 have it beat by a mile imo

How long do you want to keep beating around the bush? Name the three games already. |
I don't owe you that information. All I said was that Breath of the Wild wasn't the best game of 2017. You're the one who has bombed in and attempted to tell everyone why I would think that, and fucked it up.
The 2D Mario games that I've played. I've come to the conclusion that, since the first one defined the genre for many people and was the game that got played the most during that time due to being shipped with all NES consoles, it gets some kind of blank check. In my opinion, however, they are as boring, uninspired, and nonsensical as anything out there. Despite having been a big Nintendo fan as a kid, I struggled with accepting that I hated the game-play, hated the Mario character, and hated the lack of any substance at all behind it. That kind of memory-based game-play always felt more like homework to me than fun. I could never play for more than a few minutes before wanting to switch to something else. I'd be absolutely fine with never playing another 2D platformer again in my life.
Though I can't judge it fairly because I haven't really played it, I can say that I'm not an Uncharted fan. I quit the game I tried after a few minutes. I'm pretty sure I said "wtf is this?" often in that small amount of time because pressing button prompt after button prompt is not my idea of "game-play". It was just annoying.
Bayonetta. I felt dumber for having played it and kind of pissed off that I was spent money on a game clearly written and directed by a 12 year old boy just entering into puberty. Along with LA Noire, it's the game that turned me cynical about review scores.
Red Dead Redemption. I'm a person who loves open world games because they let me break off from the main story and just explore. Imagine how I felt with RDR, though, where exploring only brought me a great deal of boredom. The point where I quit, though, was a mission where I was fighting an endless wave of enemies. Ugh. It was an empty world, bad mission structures, and very average game-play wrapped up in a very nice package.

The whole Elder Scrolls series. I have only played Morrowind, but I hated it so much that I can't make myself look at the others. I know Skyrim is big, so occasionally I'll check out the reviews and they'll say, "It's awesome! It's just like Morrowind." Hell no! If the game is like Morrowind then it is complete trash.
curl-6 bet me that PS5 + X|S sales would reach 56m before year end 2023 and he was right.
My Bet With curl-6
My Threads:
Master Thread, Game of the Year/Decade
Switch Will Be #1 All Time
Zelda Will Outsell Mario (Achieved)
How Much Will MH Rise sell?
My Bet With Metallox
GTA IV
Little Big Planet
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
All Elder Scrolls games (that includes Bethesda's atrocious attempts at Fallout)
All Assassin's Creed games

You can't claim that a whole series is overrated if you've just played one game.
