Yeah, you being old doesn't make your definitions of genres right, by the way. Especially considering you aren't even using the proper term for Zelda ... an "Action/Adventure" game, not a "pseudo rpg".

Also how dare you call me Kathy Newman. Take that back.

Look up pseudo real quick. You're being silly and you're either misunderstanding or mischaracterizing what I said. So yeah. You're being a Kathy. Did I actually say it was a rpg?

I don't think you understand what pseudo means ....

Pseudo means being not genuine, a sham. The problem with saying Zelda is a "pseudo rpg" is that even if it's similar that's not what it's setting out to accomplish. It isn't a "pseudo" rpg because it's not a sham, it's just a genre that happens to host some games similar to RPGs. I'm really not being silly, in fact I would have dropped this a long time ago had you not kept pushing the definition of "pseudo". Calling, I don't know, Skyrim a pseudo RPG, is a pretty good way of using the word. Zelda isn't even putting itself to those standards, so it doesn't make sense.

I never said that I didn't like Zelda. The thread is about the most overrated game and to me, that fits Zelda perfectly. I think the games are okay and a little too kiddy for me.

Zelda? Kiddy? Which Zelda titles have you played? Just curious

Halo.
Call of duty.
Uncharted
Assassin creed.
Destiny.

Hate these games with a burning passion.

You're just injecting some nonsense into what you think I meant, Kathy.

have you played Origins yet? It's a huge departure from previous games in the series. The new combat, level system, less reliance on towers, rpg mechanics, and the Egyptian setting all revitalized the series, imo.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Zelda is 'not' an RPG franchise. I'm so tired of uninformed gamers lumping Zelda into the RPG genre. It's Action/Adventure. Just because it has a Fantasy setting doesn't automatically mean it's an RPG. God damn... I thought we were past this.

Knock that "uninformed" shit out, please. If you disagree with someone, argue against their points and don't mischaracterize their positions.

Mischaracterize? You mean misinterpret? Don't use big words if you don't know what they mean. Also, being "uninformed" isn't an insult dude, it just means you're discussing a topic with no real knowledge pertaining to it and making false assumptions.

AND

Zelda isn't psuedo RPG, it's not RPG at all. It's not an RPG even in a general sense much in the same way Ninja Gaiden wasn't - which is also an Action/Adventure game. Would you call that psuedo RPG? Of course not...

"Knock that uninformed shit out". I don't know if you're worried that I hurt others' feelings and you went all keyboard warrior, or if you like pushing your weight around in a FORUM with 'psuedo' authority. (Yes unfortunately, you also used that big word incorrectly as well)

Dude, look, this is really a silly thing to fight about, so I'll admit I should have stopped it earlier before it continued. But making fun of people for correcting you by using the literal definition of a word ... that's not "nonsense", you're just not admitting you're wrong. It's especially funny when you tell people to look up a word, and then they use that definition against you because you just don't know what the word actually means.

But I really don't care either way. You just aren't using a word right, but your opinion is fine to have.

One or two of the original 2D ones, ocarina of time, majora's mask, twilight princess and maybe one or two others. Had a chance to play wind waker but didn't because of "art style". One of my good friends is a ninty fan and had most of the zelda games. That's how I was playing some of them.

Origins does look good I’ll guve you that. I’ll try it when I find it cheap. :)

Any GTA game. I think they are the worst sandbox games, with the last variety of side quests, average to shit gameplay mechanics, boring to shit mini games and only popular because the wanna be "rude boy/ gangsta" culture is so big.
