1440p/1800p checkerboard is acceptable if it means higher detail. Improved load times however they achieve it, preferably half of what a similar game would take this gen. Even if the games double in file size compared to this gen, 2TB mass storage should be the minimum, or drop it altogether and force external. Minimal changes to the controllers. Just as many games if not more, but hopefully not all that much larger than the largest AAA this gen, since they can take up their fair share of play time and then some.
Probably all SKU's with optical drives since splitting them between digital only and physical makes BC tougher and also increases the price of the physical SKU due to less drives being ordered. External mass storage support from day one.
For PS5 specifically, a cooling system with near silent operation, whether that means a better heatsink and fan etc, or a larger, easier breathing shell. Also native BC with PS4, not PSNow. "Cross play" should also be allowed at launch, even if it's only PS gamers vs XB gamers.
For 'XB2' specifically, get Halo back on track, more first party games, and much more game variety. If XB wants to get more first party titles on other platforms, including PS5, while I think that's a poor decision in terms of hardware sales, it would make buying a PS5 a no brainer for me.
