When is October NPD released?

November 20th 

With Xbox and PS4 deals starting the 18th of November at best buy (and likeley everywhere else) we should see a big increase then

Guys what's your opinion about the odd result given by the tool compared to many people expectation the month of RDR2 ? Sony have the marketing deal but they are going to sell less than the others ?

It may be (and this has been suggested) that the number of SKU's from Xbox is clouding the position of the PS4... but also perhaps as we get towards xmas the higher items may have a bigger gap.... its all very interesting, but I guess we'll start seeing the NPd results and the tool can be modified if need be. We always knew that xmas could be the difficult one for the tool.... but if it gets it all right, then perhaps we don't nee to worry.

I think the tool can be easily gamed by flooding SKUs as seen with Xbox's huge spike not too long ago. I also think that GameStop's rankings are not the most reliable and may result in high price SKUs staying top ranked for far longer than they should be, as seen with the special anniversary PS4 which was inexplicably still charting very high in the rankings even 2 weeks after it was completely sold out.
