Nice, they finally added playable octolings (but they added it as DLC, they knew people really wanted them...).

Honestly, this was the only interesting/good thing about the direct for me. 

I really enjoyed Splatoon 2's campaign, so more of that might be the thing that makes me take my Switch out of the cupboard where it's been sitting since Xenoblade 2.

Probably will skip this since I'm not huge about the single player

This looks like the content that was missing from the game all along to make it feel like a proper sequel instead of Splatoon 1.5. A bit vexed they're releasing it as paid DLC, but it looks awesome so I can't say I'm not going to buy it lol.

While I too would obviously prefer it to be a free update, I actually thought the campaign it launched with was pretty good, so the game never felt like less than a full sequel to me.
