Why not trade location of ps4 and ps3?

This exactly.....She can do everything she is currently doing on the PS4 on the PS3 instead. In fact, I do ALL my girly shit on the PS3, and use the PS4 almost exclusively for gaming.

Buy her an Ouya. Us women love Ouya.

I basically designated play times for myself with my wife.

One hour to wind down after work (plus if she is not home more, and the Switch gets me extra time on the go)

3 hours in the morning on sat and sun (again, there can be opportunity for more. That is just my minimum time before she is allowed to complain lol)

That adds up to at least 11 hours a week. For a 30 year old married man with 4 kids, I say this system works well and keeps everyone happy.

Also I have my X1 hooked up in the living room that my wife and kids watch tv with. My PS4, PS3, WiiU, and Switch are in my den and are off limits to all but me. If I want to play the X1, I just stick a different console out there.

So I would suggest if you want to play your PS4 over your PS3, put the PS4 in the spare room and the PS3 in the living room. It has the same media apps afterall.

Haha, I've even tried THAT and thought this would be perfect!

Guess what she said? My eyes hurt...the picture is too dark and not as sharp. LOL what? yeah, I noticed a difference in rez but it sure as heck wasn't anything I'm not used to. I guess the PS3 and 4k don't match well...

Me and my wife have been an item for 9 years. Married since last year and two kids at 5 and soon 3. I'm a gamer, I'm also father and husband. I get time to be all three, my wife respects my hobby I respect hers and we both get alone time to do that.

I could never live in a relationship where someone would whine and moan about my hobbies. But that's me, many of my friends - both men and women - have problems with their partner making all the decisions. I dont get that.

So I'm probably not much help here since my significant other is pretty awesome with everything :P

I have a PS3 hooked up to a 4k TV and it looks fine. I have another PS3 hooked up to a 1080p TV, and have not noticed any difference...I'm not saying there couldn't be some issue with your setup, but it seems really strange that there would be. Did you hook up the PS3 to the same hdmi port that the PS4 Pro was hooked into? If not, the TV video settings may be the reason for the differences she notices. Other than that, or trying to tweak the settings, I'm outta ideas.

Sounds like she’s selfish. I’d leave.

She took your ps4 for youtube on a 4k tv?

What the hell is wrong with you guys? Doesn't she have a phone or tablet for youtube?

You need to lay down the law here lol

After reading her excuse for not being OK with the switching of consoles, she sounds very selfish. Not going to say drop her, but that's a pretty minor thing not to budge over. Sounds to me like it's about more than the PS4 and probably about the control of space in the household, or resentment about the second bedroom (feeling like you needed a place to get away from her). When I was dating and living with a girl, this quickly became a big issue for us after we first moved in.

Sounds like you two need to have a serious conversation about these things. She may not even realize that this is what it's really about for her.

Either buy her a tablet so she can do that stuff on or get her a PS4 and set up a separate tv for it.
