And since Nintendo Power got sold off and isn't even associated with Nintendo anymore I'm not sure they even have any credibility.

I have the PS2 version, and plan on getting the Wii version, even if it's not better. I like to support developers that take a risk on great games that don't sell well.

The reason I linked the above quote in, is doesn't separating from the company your helping promote add credibility, not take it away?

I wouldnt buy it, the original devs arent even assosiated with UbiSoft anymore. Clover is done and finished.

Anyways, I prefer the look of the PS2 version.  It actually gives you the feel that the world is paintable.

Clover was associated with Capcom, not ubisoft. And Ready at Dawn, the people that made the God of War Chains of Olympus you so praise are behind the Wii port. :)

Also, it will look identicle to the PS2 version with slightly better graphics as it has been know for a long time that the Rice Papering has been included.

Know your facts next time, it saves us all some trouble. Though if people didn't constantly try to downplay the much improved Wii version of a PS2 game (According to Capcom anyway, but what do they know) with incorrect and outdated information, we'd have nothing to talk about.

Last time anyone talked about the game they removedthe rice paper effect plus why should I care about staying up to date on games that have beeout and being ported to the Wii? I traded my Wii in remember?

So in otherwords you wanted to try and take a jab at a game's hype and had no qualms in using outdated information to do so. Outdated information that you defend with, "Well I don't really care about this game anyway, I just wanted to shit talk it".

Even if that is your case, tell me, at what point was it ever believed that Clover was associated with Ubisoft? Lol.

Ah well, no sense worrying about it. Maybe someone in your position should act a little more prudently next time, look before you leap is all I'm saying. People look to you as the voice of reason on these forums and you've done a decent job so far bu don't let them down now.

It's okay, let's all just drop it and let the topic resume.

ok

then IGN just gave it a 9/10

I own the PS2 version. I might give the Wii version a shot since I grew bored of the PS2 version about halfway through.

Blasphemy, I know. If it's such a great game, however, I don't see the problem with owning the Wii version, it's probably better than the PS2 version, afterall.

Remember this, though, Sony fanboys, next time you say "Well, that's Nintendo power." Believe it or not, they tend to be a fairly stern review source, and their opinions shouldn't be marginalized or exhaulted at your whim.

So, just to reitterate, Okami is better than any game on my PS3 atm, imo, even though I'm not the huge Okami fan that most hardcore gamers are, I still think the game is great and artistic, and I'm very happy that it made its way to another platform to perhaps get the recognition it deserves.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Well Windbane is an objective non-biased owner of all three consoles, I see no reason why this would be an unfounded or inflammatory thread.

I appreciate this trolling...I really do. I own both a Wii and a PS3, and I want to play Okami on the Wii despite already having Okami on the PS2. I never finished it. This thread is not unfounded, but your comment was uneccesary and false. I trust EGM, so it's hard for me not to worry about 3 seperate reviewers from them and Nintendo Power...and 3 reviewers from Game Informer (to which I subscribe but do not trust). It is hard for me to buy the theory that EGM just received an early build because even if they did it's only a few weeks early and that's not a lot of time to fix problems. So, it worries me. Why don't you stop trolling?

Well Capcom will love me.. I have Okami in 3 versions... Japanese PS2 version, got it as a gift from Prodigy_Be for translation work for his former magazine but not finished as the old fashion language is kinda difficult, European PS2 version and I've reserved the US WII version

P.S. Join the club Windbane, I'm also a WII and PS3 owner and your posts aren't flaming, throlling or what so ever

Heh, thanks. Tell us how you think it plays when you get the Wii version, then.

Hopefully they are closer to the truth.
