Regardless of which is better, I wish they would have made traditional controls an option on the wii version because I tend to prefer standard controls with my gamecube remote.

Then why don't you just play the PS2 version?

I suppose I could....but I was just wishing that they'd make some improvements graphically, etc. and maybe even some added content, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Lol, it sorta feels odd playing ps2 games when I have all three newer consoles, but oh well.

If you have all 3 new consoles and you still feel that Okami is the best use of your gaming time/money, what does that say about those newer consoles' games.

I've got the game on PS2, so there's no way I'm buying again for the wii, however, I'd still like to try the paint brush mechanic and see how that feels.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/865/865958p3.html

ign says the controls are faster and more accurate for the celestial brush,

though I don't care about any pro reviewer's opinion

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Windbane is an objective non-biased owner of all three consoles, I see no reason why this would be an unfounded or inflammatory thread.

And since Nintendo Power got sold off and isn't even associated with Nintendo anymore I'm not sure they even have any credibility.

I have the PS2 version, and plan on getting the Wii version, even if it's not better. I like to support developers that take a risk on great games that don't sell well.

The reason I linked the above quote in, is doesn't separating from the company your helping promote add credibility, not take it away?

I wouldnt buy it, the original devs arent even assosiated with UbiSoft anymore. Clover is done and finished.

Anyways, I prefer the look of the PS2 version.  It actually gives you the feel that the world is paintable.

I'm inclined to agree with the "reviewed an early build" theory. I suggest we all wait until the final reviews from the major websites come out before making any sort of judgment one way or the other.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Clover was associated with Capcom, not ubisoft. And Ready at Dawn, the people that made the God of War Chains of Olympus you so praise are behind the Wii port. :)

Also, it will look identicle to the PS2 version with slightly better graphics as it has been know for a long time that the Rice Papering has been included.

Know your facts next time, it saves us all some trouble. Though if people didn't constantly try to downplay the much improved Wii version of a PS2 game (According to Capcom anyway, but what do they know) with incorrect and outdated information, we'd have nothing to talk about.

God of War I and II was done by sony's first party developers Santa Monica, then ready at dawn created prequal to the first god of war.

Edit: you change it so yeah.

Last time anyone talked about the game they removedthe rice paper effect plus why should I care about staying up to date on games that have beeout and being ported to the Wii? I traded my Wii in remember?

So you come into a topic presenting false information as fact and when proved otherwise your response is essentially "why should I care?"

That's almost a text-book case of trolling.  Well done ssj12.

Is it really so hard to say "You know, you're right.  I'm sorry about that.  Next time I'll check my facts before posting.  Thanks for the information though."  Is that really so hard?  You really wouldn't come off looking like a jerk and a troll that way.
