Is it my 8GB DDR3 RAM that affected my scores or is it my aging i7 3770 CPU?

My computer is 5 years old. So its about time for a few upgrades. However just bought a brand new truck so its going to be a while....

I just got a new gaming laptop. I may download this on both to see the results. Here are my old and new rig specs. Edit: Benchmark results of my new rig. Old rig still downloading the file. Edit 2: Benchmark lists the wrong GPU but it runs fine. Although my new rig runs the game better at 4K than the old one does at 720P at High Quality. Seeing the 720P score, I ran the 1080P bench at Standard Quality. It was solid. For shits and giggles, I ran the 4K benchmark, at Lite Quality of course. It didn't well heh.

Old

CPU: i7-4810MQ (2.8ghz)

RAM: 24GB DDR3

GPU: GTX 680M 8GB

New

CPU: i7-7700K (4.2ghz)

RAM: 32GB DDR4

GPU: GTX 1080 8GB

Since the benchmark supports Nvidia Ansel I made a few 40k x 22k screenshots (500 MB JPEGs). But besides the resolution they aren't very pretty.

those results are really odd, high is the same as mine but standard not? I don't think the ram make a difference, if they would then high score would be propably different too. maybe something with the os, drivers or you are running something in the background?

This benchmark isn't CPU or Memory bound. But it is GPU bound.
Try reinstalling your drivers and so on.

My almost 7-year old PC still doing okay. Probably would have done better if I didn't have a crappy RX 580. It's exactly inline with the GPU hierarchy on their site for expected performance.

As for uploading image files... I use imgur. No drama or sign ups... Just seems to work for me.
