Absolutely insane attach rate for Odyssey. Even beats MK8's attach rate on Wii U. And speaking of MK8, MK8D is about to beat it in only 8 months! Odyssey and BOTW will be the best selling 3D Mario and Zelda game within a few months. Odyssey has a shot at climbing all the way to #4 among all Super Mario games and #3 among non-bundled ones, behind only NSMB and NSMBWii. Who knows, maybe it even beats them. 9m in 2 months is absurd. 

Yeah your right. It should have reached it already. I think Japan did over 100k in January alone.

Odyssey came out Oct 27 and these are sales through Dec 31. It sold 9m in literally just two months. That's like peak COD level of initial sales, except those games burnt through most of their sales quickly. A Mario platformer is guaranteed to have longevity. If Nintendo hits their 20m+ sales forecast for Switch this year and there's no new Mario platformer released before 2019, Odyssey really might hit 30m lt. Galaxy and NSMB Wii both sold about 1/3 of their lt sales in their first two months. That same ratio for Odyssey would put it around 27m lt. 

So Switch has officially surpassed Wii U in 10 months? That is impressive.

Its crazy to think that Switch will have best selling ever 3D Mario game and best selling ever Zelda game. :)
