Mario kart 8 deluxe in 1080p docked mode looks far prettier than any of your 720p ps3 exclusives. Just try playing the bowsers castle level to see an obvious upgrade.

In overall polish, I agree. But games like GoW3 and Uncharted 2/3 still have assets that would be very impressive on Switch hardware.

We don't see much on Switch at par with that. That's why this debate is happening.

So far I'd say the most impressive Switch games visually are FAST RMX for its fancy rendering tech at 60fps, Doom for cramming a PS4/Xbone/PC game onto a mobile chipset while retaining most of its 8th gen graphics techniques, Mario Odyssey for great lighting and overall visual appeal at 60fps, and Mario + Rabbds Kingdom Battle for its lighting, effects, and AA.

Considering these all released within the first 9 months of the system's life, it's safe to say the best is yet to come for the Switch, and future games should push the graphical envelope further.

It’s a leap for sure, but not a very big one imo. PS3 and 360 would’ve have no problem running games like BotW and SMO. maybe a slightly lower frame rate/ res, but still able. Switch’s impressiveness mainly comes from its portability factor.

The Switch is a noticeable leap from the PS360, period. I really get tired of this debate because it is just ridiculous to think otherwise.

Skyrim on PS3 ran like garbage, lowest res version, long load times.

Skyrim on Switch has the MOST STABLE version framerate wise out of ANY console version according to DF, rocks 1080p res, and is based on the PS4 special edition.

Seriously, we know it is below PS4, but it is far more capable than PS360.

The Switch is much more powerful than the PS360 systems.
Even in undocked mode, the Switch has more RAM and a much newer architecture.
