There is no way they will port a 2D mario.. it's not something even worth porting you just make a brand new one at this point.

Sure this is a valid point but lets consider both Zelda and Mario. 2 groups do handheld Zeldas. MM3D/ TH were in 2015 (co-developed) and ALBW was 2013. Mario 3D World was 2013. Mario Maker was 2015. Supposedly these 2 studios are not the Odyssey studio? Or the MM team is? I think either way, surely the other 2 teams must have been in HD development for a while after their last Zelda/ Mario games. I acknowledge that maybe I am wrong on my info here. |
For the record, oot3d And mm3d wasn't made by Nintendo internally. It was grezzo who made them. Their last game was ever oasis last year. Probably working on a switch game now.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Same here but if they added a good deal of new content then its possible i would reconsider. I double dipped on Mario Kart and likely will on Smash Bros but i dont plan on double dipping for Hyrule Warriors or Tropical Freeze. |
Yeah,I kinda want to get Tropical Freeze for collection purposes, but I have no desire to ever revisit that game ever again.

She has been right when? |
She was right about Switch hardware, she was about Mario Odyssey (new kind of 3D Mario), she was right about Mario Rabbids, she was right about ARMS (new Nintendo IP difrent in veins of Splatoon)...she was right plenty of times and she was also wrong some times, so its obvous she has some good sources but she is not always right.

Everything points there is a way, porting take much less time than making new game.

She has also been right, a lot of times. Not to mention that the Nintendo switch presentation got leaked the night before. Leaks can happen |
Personally, I'd chalk up the female Link to her insider seeing images or gameplay of when Link crossdresses.
@ OP
If this is true, I can definitely see this start to slow down the Switch's momentum. They better have some big 3rd party ports in the pipeline.
Interesting thread! if only third parties and ports, there will be problems for Switch. the good news is it built up enoug momentum to avoid a total crash, but #1 console or even just 100 million+ requires some ongoing first party attention in 2018 imo.

She's 50/50. Right with some things and wrong with others.

Yes but is it really worth it to not take a little more time making a new one and make more money ? Cause its not like it was amazing enough for peoppe to buy twice like Mario Kart so..(2D platformers aren't really long to make they already have every assets)
