I mean most of us played 1,2, Switch for 2 days straight, and only took it back to the store on monday, amiright?

You maybe, but the game keeps selling so you tell me with absolute evidence that the game is forgotten and isn't played anymore. Also tell me how it correlates to Nintendo Labo, since its two different things. You guys had great foresight last year, so please enlighten again.

The correlation is simple: yes 1,2, Switch did better than desevred, but it was still not on the level Nintendo probably hoped for, ie a new Wii Sport.

The problem with this aproach is that as soon as Nintendo has a winning streak, most fans forget just how quickly it can be lost. Most people, in this thread, and this is especially true for you, act as if we would try to stain Nintendo's name by simply pointing out what we do not like in their current approach. As if suddenly they are this flawless company who never had to face massive failures like Wii Music, WiiU or dare I say Virtual Boy. There is nothing wrong with pointing out actual production flaws, and if we have noticed them, most deffinitely more people have done so. Calling the reveal of Labo a mixed reception is IMO fairly accurate.

There is no such thing as "foresight" in an industry as volatile as this, so most of our predicitons are mostly as good as rough bets. One day you can have 10 correct ones while the other day you can have them all wrong.

What I am trying to say is that critical thinking is a must in this industry and there is absolutly no reason why anyone should attack us for having a somewhat different opinion as long as neither side has any clear data on how well this product will perform.

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I mean it's cardboard so it shouldn't cost a lot, right?

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Very interesting, I don't think anyone saw something like this coming. It's certainly grabbing people's attention.

I think it could be a huge success. It demonstrates Switch's modular nature like no traditional game ever could. It's very marketable. Kids will love it. If it catches on, it could become a huge fad. YouTube video's, mods, spectacular paint jobs, etc. I can see this selling through in massive numbers from March all the way through next Holiday Season.

No one is going to play with this in 3-5 years, but that's not going to be a problem for Nintendo. By then they'll have thought of something else cool to titillate people's imagination.

Showed the video to my kids they were in awe. I will get it for them

You know, right before the piano in the trailer was fully created, I was thinking of those miniature fighting game cabinets that people were making and putting their switch into.

I wonder if Nintendo was inspired by that or this was already in development. I wonder if other companies are gonna make other products. It really has potential for other markets. Other companies not really related to gaming might be interested in this and cosign developers for software, whether or not its specifically for the switch.

To make no.

It is the shipping cost lol. I ship flat sheets that fold into trading count boxes.  For me to ship 4 boxes (12 sheets of cardboard) they charge me $25 LOL.

Me and my friend joked aobut cardboard stuff before the annoucement

Mainly because we seen this guy make a few things out of it lol

When I think about it, the part I would love about this thing is building the robot/house/piano. Reminds me of playing with legos/k'nex or building Ikea furniture, all things I love to do. I'm not sure about the games attached though.

The correlation is not there and it is wrong. 1, 2 Switch keeps selling because obviously it is something to some people. And if Nintendo wanted it to be Wii Sports, they would have packed it in. Another wrong comparison.

No. The problem presented here is that you guys, and very true to you, is that Nintendo does wrong no matter what they do. It didn't matter what Nintendo presented here, the doom speak would still be there. And no matter how many times Nintendo actually makes a mistake (and they do, God knows how many times it's reminded by people like you), they persist and turn around with even greater success. Yet still people engage in doom speak. The insane comeback with the Switch should have taught some people a lesson, and we have the threads to remind us.

As far as foresight goes. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean others don't see it. And we have seen it many times. Over and over and over. Besides, if there was no foresight, then why would any company take any chance with a product like this. Obviously the toys to life genre (which this falls under basically) has proven very popular. So what do you mean no foresight.

There is a clear difference between being critical and being overly critical, to the point of being ignorant. And in this regard you are rather oblivious because you should be looking at Amazon's list. This product will most definitely sell.
