C'mon, mate. Quality cardboard is an oxymoron. Besides I don't think he was even talking about the cardboard when he was talking about one night's use.

Absolute toss. I have a cardboard design ottoman that came with a christmas gift years back. I can still stand on the thing, it's that strong.

Also, what do you think he actually meant by this: that my kid will only use for one nigth and then its the dumpster for it?

That like many toys for young ones with short attention spans it'll be used briefly then quickly forgotten.

This is one of ideas how Nintendo wants to spread appeal of Switch on market and to have much higher sales in 2018.
This will easily be quite popular and it will definitely speed Switch apealling on kids/parents market, people missing point that this is something similar like Wii Sports or Wii Fit.

This is the side effect true. This will end up in non gaming magazines, on talk shows and more, introducing so many more to the Switch than would have been. It is another news worthy, of consumer interest point that can segway into talking about the main Switch features, upcoming games, etc. I anticipate huge huge news at the February direct to take advantage of the publicity this will get. This is the sort of thing that won’t wait till E3, now that the cat is out of the “box.” Nintendo is flipping the game industry traditions on their head.

Yeah, this is not really how it works. It should be something like this:

Nintendo: This is for kids!

Gamer parents: But how in the name of god do you want me to spend 70-80$ for a piece of cardboard and app-store level software, that my kid will only use for one nigth and then its the dumpster for it?

Nintendo: You don't get it, its for kids!

Gamer parnets: You dont get it. I have to pay for this not my 8 year old son...

Nintendo: Do you want a pack of stickers for 10$ as well?

Thats not hot relly how it works either, most of of complains comes from adult gamers, not from parents or kids. This is actualy same thing like when people were saying that Switch will not sell at $300 same price like PS4, or that 1, 2 Switch will not sell with $50 price point.

Nintendo Labo will be quite popular in any case.

Investors seem to like it

Next stop: Tinfoil Teemo. Get a roll of tinfoil with a Nintendo logo slapped on it, only for 99.99$. Based on most people's reaction here, this would be considered an absolute bargain.

Allas, it is pointless to discuss the sales potential until we will have some real numbers on our hands.

You maybe, but the game keeps selling so you tell me with absolute evidence that the game is forgotten and isn't played anymore. Also tell me how it correlates to Nintendo Labo, since its two different things. You guys had great foresight last year, so please enlighten again.
