I'm excited for the next line of Labo, which will include a cardboard R.O.B...

That's the cool part; this is just the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more that can be done with this concept.

FMD this is the last time i joke about Nintendo releasing buildable cardboard kits to my mate.

They must have seen that facebook page were the guy builds stuff out of cardboard, like a safe, cash register etc lol

Am I missing something? Several people are citing the Robot game as being VR but in the pictures I saw, nothing is covering the kids eyes... Personally it does not look like the tablet portion is what is on the kids head.

I think it have potential. Think about it. I know a lot of switch owner that have kids. I am one. I, and for for what i see i'm alone, got a swtich, because, at 38, with two kids, a wife a job and a social life. i dont have much time to play game anymore, and I dont have the control over the TV that often. But i still love play games. With the switch i can play games, not using the tv, and i can stop the game in seconds if my kids need me, and resume my game later.

Now, like i said, i have kids. but my kids (5 and 3 by the way) dont really play games yet. however, i totally see my 5 years old daugther going nut for a thing like that. seems, very simple, they can draw on it.

ok, now durability. ok, it will probably break on the long run. however, i guess nintendo will sell replacement cardboard for pretty cheap. Then again, it's just cardboard. you can make a copy on another cardboard, you can tape or glue it back together... so not so much an issue here,

Appeal. damn it people, it's for kids, it's a neat try, and it doesnt mean that nintendo if forgeting adults gamer. Plus, hey it's a dice roll. maybe it will work, but if it doesnt work, nintendo will have a buch of cardboard to burn in the backyard. nothing to put the company on it's knees.

Price: ok, you have kids ? if not, have you check the price of toys lately ? a barbie doll is 20$. a lego set is between 30 to 100$. 69$ for 5 projects ? not that bad. parents are use to those kind of prices.

so, yeah, i probably get one of those

It's not VR.  I think people seen the visor and instantly thought the tablet was used as the screen.

I don't think this will sell well. Do buyers get warranty if it breaks?

The Robot Kit is already the #1 Seller on Amazon Video Games List right now.

No interest personally. Very unique though. I like the idea.

you gotta wonder if the people who keep trying to say that Nintendo is gonna sell just the cardboard and not even include the game for $70 are either legitimately dumb enough to think that when it literally shows in the picture for it that it does include the game, so it's obvious they just didn't care enough to even look into it and are just spreading false information based on nothing, or they know it's not true and are just trying to say that to try to downplay what it actually is

cause i've seen several posts on several sites now about this trying to say that "nintendo is literally selling cardboard for $70" like obviously it's not just the fucking cardboard, people, but if they bothered to even look at the damn picture which would take 5 seconds they would be able to see that

This forum is a little ridiculous sometimes. Not everyone here, but c'mon guys. You're acting like this is the worst possible thing Nintendo could have done. It's a neat concept that will certainly sell. It's marketed towards kids, which is totally fine! Not every product has to be for everyone. Is the price a little high? Maybe. Maybe not. We don't know too much about it, but we do know that replacement cardboard will be cheap AND they're releasing the schematics so that you can create everything yourself out of your own cardboard if you so please. I'm not gonna buy it, but I'm excited to see how well it sells. I'd put a decent amount of money on it selling pretty well.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll be getting some pretty big announcements soon enough from Nintendo that will please a lot of people. The Switch is selling well and they need to keep the momentum going and that's what I expect them to do.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.
