I think it have potential. Think about it. I know a lot of switch owner that have kids. I am one. I, and for for what i see i'm alone, got a swtich, because, at 38, with two kids, a wife a job and a social life. i dont have much time to play game anymore, and I dont have the control over the TV that often. But i still love play games. With the switch i can play games, not using the tv, and i can stop the game in seconds if my kids need me, and resume my game later.
Now, like i said, i have kids. but my kids (5 and 3 by the way) dont really play games yet. however, i totally see my 5 years old daugther going nut for a thing like that. seems, very simple, they can draw on it.
ok, now durability. ok, it will probably break on the long run. however, i guess nintendo will sell replacement cardboard for pretty cheap. Then again, it's just cardboard. you can make a copy on another cardboard, you can tape or glue it back together... so not so much an issue here,
Appeal. damn it people, it's for kids, it's a neat try, and it doesnt mean that nintendo if forgeting adults gamer. Plus, hey it's a dice roll. maybe it will work, but if it doesnt work, nintendo will have a buch of cardboard to burn in the backyard. nothing to put the company on it's knees.
Price: ok, you have kids ? if not, have you check the price of toys lately ? a barbie doll is 20$. a lego set is between 30 to 100$. 69$ for 5 projects ? not that bad. parents are use to those kind of prices.
so, yeah, i probably get one of those
