switch is highly successful right now, and those are great numbers in france, but those numbers make it seem like switch is destroying wii, and ps4, but it's simply because switch had a full holiday period, those consoles just launched late into the holidays with just enough stock to meet launch demand.

Yet you continue to ignore Switch had stock issues for half a year, why is it that stock only matters when it comes to PS4 according to you?

we're talking about france here, we're talking about no stock during the holidays for wii/ps4, where switch basically sold half it's ltd in france, wii and ps4 didn't have that. switch only had major stock issues in japan, in the usa, they were very minor, and i say minor because when stock issues were resolved for september, and October it was doing your average ps4/xb1 numbers for those months like the other months, so stock issues were just a little over demand, and  switch didn't have stock issues during the best period of the year the holidays.

The console came out in MARCH, how is that not a major stock issue if it wasn't resolved until September? Again trying downplay Switch stock issues to fit your argument.

By the way Switch won December, and Benji was right even though you tried to smear his reputation

I never did try to smear his reputation, i said his info wasn't that useful, and i still believe that for november it was useless, and even for december it wasn't that great, if he said in November ps4 was leading switch comfortably then yea, but he says that for switch in december, yet it only beat xbox 130k, thats only 9% more, it was extremely close for December for the 2.

stock issues were resolved in september/october where you could easily find one online, but like i said the other months were just a little above demand, because nintedo was shipping just near demand, proof by septembera and october sales, were sales stayed in the same trend.

He was a lot closer in his predictions than you, you predicting PS4 to win then changed your mind when rumors of Switch's victory came in. You were still wrong in the end because PS4 was a distant 3rd.

Well the ps4 selling much better in europe is becauae ps sells MUCH better in smaller markets. And EU is a jumble of smaller markets. Even if switch is neck and neck in the big 4 (italy, UK, france, germany), the combined weight of the other 20+ countries probably outweigh them.

On another note the US market looks so fun. Its been a decade since 3 systems were running so closely in paralell like this.

i'm not the one with the numbers, it's just prediction, and mine was spot on in November, infinity much closer then what benji was suggesting. remember everybody changes there prediction with new  info, so why can't i do the same? sony could have won December, but they let xbox eat there cake because ps4 was 299$ till the 17, thats why they came in last, i should have known better since ps4/xb1 have similar games and thats to much of a price advantage in favor of xbox, but really xbox has been weak the whole year so it was hard to predict a bit.

One thing to note is that the switch has has 10 months, not a full year, while ps4 has 12months.

Still won ww

Again, Switch being this close during launch year is just insane when you consider the PS4 will probably never sell much more than this.

If we compare to the two first Christmas periods of the PS4, it was below 800k during the same week and had weeks below 600k during December.

How do we know switch will sell aswell in year 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 as ps4? It could sell better for year 2, 3 and then not be as good the rest.

LOL it'll be the year 2023 and you'll still be talking about Nov 2017.

Wow, the Switch is doing amazing WW but especially in Japan. I never thought that I would see Japan having this big of an impact in the WW sales again. I mean, it was common for the Wii U to lead the weekly home console sales in Japan with only 9,000 units being sold on a regular week and I was even starting to wonder why VGChartz bothered splitting Japan out from the ROW. Now I see why, the Switch's Japan sales are enough of an equalizer to put it neck to neck with the PS4 WW during the biggest week of the year.

For a country the size of Japan to be pulling these numbers, the Switch must be absolutely transformative over there. Good for Nintendo, they definitely understand their home market better than Sony does.
