Wow you're really passionate about this.
I don't know why graphic elitism is thought to be the be all - end all of games, when gamers don't give a ruddy fuck about them. It's a small, subset of online gamers that prioritize graphics over all. Sales are a good indication of this fact, considering Minecraft outsells almost everything. You seem so preoccupied with a misguided opinion that you don't realize my point - sales are the bottom line. The majority of people who buy games do not care about 4k. They care about cost first, convenience second. If all versions cost the same, which version is more convenient? Switch, every single time.

Not really passionate. If anything I'd ague you are since you are constantly changing the subject and arguing every other point desperate to defend this "better than any other version" option.
You said "Dark Souls in 1080p can't be beat.". Which shows two things. 1) You care about resolution. 2) That you are ignoring that most likely it is going to be 720P undocked. IE not 1080p.
I brought up frame rate, you quoted random games talking about frame rate.. yet in your latest post you don't mention frame rate at all. You just go off about "no one wants 4k resolution".
The PS4P, X1X, and PC will most likely aim for 60 FPS. That is TWICE the framerate of the switch. Are you now going to argue that in an fast-paced action game that people don't care about framerate?
720p30FPS vs 1080p3FPS - not much of a difference.
720p30FPS vs 4k 60 FPS with added effects and texture? HUGE difference. Yet you can't even agree with that point.

The game industry did a good job teaching you to salivate over graphics. Yes, portable 1080p Dark Souls can't be beat. Sure I care about it, it would be nice. But even if I did have it, that resolution isn't what would make it superior to me. It's the portable part. Because convenience matters more than a few precious pixels.
If people really wanted what you're saying, consoles would be dead by now. Everyone would game on PC's for the highest res/FR possible.
And since you'd like to play the semantics game - no one cares about 60fps. No one cares about 4k. No one cares if it's 720 or 1080 as long as it's HD. You are part of the 10% who care so, so very much about these things. I know it's frustrating - there's so many of us online who are aware that 4k/60fps is way way better than 720/30fps. But that's the way it is.
You even said yourself that portability trumps graphics for this game since you're getting the Switch version. I mean... can you make my point for me any more than that? Portable Dark Souls is better than high res/high framerate Dark Souls.
