Yeah, I think so, because there is general consensus here that Fifa bombed on Switch and EA is done with Switch support beacuse of that.

I think people got that idea because the switch version only accounted for about 3% of sales. Ps4 version dwarfed it making it look bad even though relatively it did alright.

It doesn't matter, point is same and this is proof that Fifa did not bombed on Switch.

But it was pretty clear even back than that a) the Switch version would have relatively good legs, and b) it would sell better in France and Germany than in the UK.

My post does matter because

1) I didn't say it bombed

2) I gave you reason why people made the mistake

FIFA 18 Electronic Arts made 73,000 units (without the digital) The editor is very satisfied. Ubisoft also has very good results with Mario + Raving Rabbids but also with Rayman Legend and Just Dance which make more than 50 000 units). Konami's Super Bomberman was out for three weeks. All third party publishers who played the game are satisfied with their year. And there will be new ads on Switch. Fifa was for them a test-match. What is interesting for them is that we will enter the phase of acceleration of the sales of the console according to the life cycle. Fifa the year of the World Cup, portability on Switch, we can imagine that they will be able to double the stake without problem.

- FIFA 18 : 73k without digital
- EA is very satisfied
- New announcemnts are coming, Fifa was a real test and the Switch passed it
- Expecting to double those sales thanks to the World Cup.
- Every 3rd party publishers that made a serious effort on Switch are satisfied.

Remember when Fifa was launched on Switch was launched and we had first week UK numbers and everyone said that Fifa definatly bombed WW beacuse first week UK numbers!? :D

So first week UK isn't sufficient for a bomb, but France are enough to deny it? Interesting logic...

And will this stop the hate for EA? I doubt

It's EA, they've been dissatisfied with sales better than that, plus it's FIFA. It makes millions in Europe alone.

Offcourse its EA, but they also have realistic expectations, of course they know that cant sale much more on brand new platform in first year in one market. 73k without digital (with Digital probably around 80-90k) in one country, so basically means that almost 10% of Switch owners currently bought Fifa, is a good result.

DO you have 1st week Fifa 14 and 15 for PS4 in France to compare?

No it doesn't make sense to say something that I didn't say.  Your point doesnt matter because I don't arguing with you why people thought why Switch version of game bombed on Switch, but my is point that they did thought it did bombed and this is proof that game didnt bombed.

France numbers shows us that game did not bombed and that EA actually is very satisfied with sales and that they said because good Fifa sales more games are coming. First UK week shows us only that Switch version of Fifa sold bad compared to PS4/XB1 version of games in first week, nothing more, France numbers shows us much bigger picture.

I dont need them, fact that EA is very satisfied with numbers and they promised more support is more than enough.
