Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Rumor: New 3DS Zelda game by grezzo

http://vgculturehq.com/rumor-new-zelda-coming-3ds-year-links-awakening-remake/

As the title says, there may be a new top down Zelda game similar to A Link Between Worlds announced for 3DS soon.  It would be a remake/reimagining/sequel to Link's Awakening and will be more open than the original.  There is also mention of a potential N2DS bundle as well.

Take it with a table of salt, but still interesting to think about.  Would be nice to see a Switch version to support the unified dev concept, but I would def get this either way.

Might pick it up. I enjoyed A Link Between Worlds a lot, but I think the openness of it was its weakest aspect. I personally think it'd have been better served having a steady progression rather than the rental system.

Regardless, it was a fun and good game, and I enjoyed Link's Awakening as a kid, though I never think I beat it. Hopefully it ends up good.

Really? Put it on Switch as well FFS...

I am skeptical on two points in particular: 1. Has the greatest 3d effects yet...really? The newest vesion of the 3dS isn't even 3D! That would be prett strange (and also doesn't do anything for me personally). 2. Delayed to be more open world style. Sounds believable strategically, but also sounds like a lot of work. I guess it migt not be that hard if you had a rental system like the last game, sort of the laziest approach available.

I'd also be surprised because of Switch, but I definitely would like to see Nintendo show a little more aongiong support for a legacy console for once, since NES and Gameboy most Nintendo consoles have a very weak windup

Yeah the whole 3D effect thing made me scratch my head as well...especially considering the bundle is supposedly going to be a NEW 2DS rather than the 3D version.

The 3DS has been going strong for 7 years now. Its time to put it to sleep.

Lol @ this rumors.

Why would Grezzo make it ? they made the 3D Zelda remakes, not ALBW which was made by the actual 2D Zelda team

You are right, they did not do ALBW.  They did do Triforce Heroes though.  It is possible that the main team is doing the next Switch Zelda, and Grezzo has the smaller projects.

Grezzo didn't make A Link Between Worlds and Triforce Heroes so i don't find this credible. I don't know how big Grezzo is, but they shipped a game six months ago.
