VR is the future. Sony is the only company with multiple development studios putting serious effort into it.

DOesn't that then define VR as being "Sony VR" as thwe future then?.

Since no one out there is putting any effort (of any kind) into their games?.

I've seen a few that actually look decent outside of just Sony.

There are other companies putting work into VR, but again Sony is the only company with multiple devs working on it. Sony VR will be the future and then everyone else will follow suit.

I agree completely. It is the only one of the big three that has mainstream potential due to the hardware requirements and the ease of use, if  Sony don't win none of them win. I hope Oculus and HtcVive realise this and support sony while they work on getting their platforms into a wider audience.

Of course their is also the mobile devices which will most likely decide the fate of VR, either turning people off it because of the low quality or bringing people in with the next gen VR ready smart phones. Perhaps Samsung and google may come out on top through shear potential users.

That said Sont is still in the best position for VR gaming. I just hope they update their browser to allow for easy access to porn as this will create much greater sales.

Yeah Sony is both one of the big 3 console companies, and one of the big 3 VR companies. This gives them a huge advantage, because no matter how good Vive/Oculus are they won't sell without good software.

Smartphones already have AR games. The success or failure of those will probably mirror the success or failure of smartphone VR.

The lower part of the list are mostly from the cheap monthly "VR Steam bundles" on Indie Gala. Even if most of these indie VR games are subpar, at least one game in each bundle is surprisingly entertaining and totally worth the costs of the whole bundle.

Jesus tapdancing christ. That's more than triple the games of my entire PS4 collection. And I buy almost every game that gets 80+ on my custom Opencritic parameters. Will you ever play all those games? I'd be happy just to have five or six games that are worthwhile in VR this gen. So far Skyrim, Fallout 4, Doom, RE7, and AC7 are the big VR games that I'm looking to play.

I can't split Resident evil 7 and Skyrim as my favourites. There is just so much good stuff out there people refuse to educate themselves about game wise. If I Could only pick one platform to game on, it would be VR above all of them. I can't wait for the next jump in VR tech, but I will enjoy everything we get, till we get there.

I don't really see them being the supreme leaders of the VR industry tbh. Maybe if there were only 3 companies out there making games for multiple platforms maybe, but there are far more out there and more will come about that can ante up their game.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

They aren't indeed, can't really compare, you litterally have 5000 experiences with VR on PC with plenty of PS4 also on PC.  The big difference is though that PSVR is cheapest hardware wise but software is pricy .

Anyway Zimtok5/Spidergaming is holding a VR mega stream this week everybody  Skyrim/Fallout4/minecraft etc.  We also have a VR minecraft server if someone wants to join with the vivecraft.       https://www.twitch.tv/zimtok5

^^  the highlight of the weeks is an 8 hour stream of Desert bus in VR....(start at Tuesday 25th December 9AM UK).

nice, just remember to take it slow at first and acclimate yourself with the likes of Ocean Decent, Danger Ball (both VR Worlds) or the various ones from the free Playroom VR (excluding the platformer Robo Rescue as it's more advanced) before you go into more demanding games

if you ever feel a bit uncomfortable (light headache, sweating, queasy) take a break and come back to it later

Cool. If you will, whats the experience of the tracking in a low light/dimly lit room? Any issues? Any setup/calibration tips?

I was thinking of setting it up in my basement on my gaming PC Desk as i have the extra monitor, a good chair and ample floorspace  for standing for the likes of the aim controller games. Its also away from the traffic so i can nerd out in peace.
