I feel like this thread has touched a touchy nerve with some folk. The man can do what he wants. I don't tell you how to game and live life, don't tell him to either.

Well, I can kind of understand that feeling, like me I have quite a few games so it makes me worried about having to move far away, whereas if I had no possessions I could pretty much just go anywhere I can find a job! However,  he has a son and I assume a significant other, so he is already tied down in that sense.

I remember selling all my consoles once in my early 20's back in the day. After a couple of years i was rely hankering after a console. Fallout 3 and COD MW2 were calling me. Gaming is ebbs and flows. My 1st console was a comodore 64 too

First time I have responded to this thread but you seriously missed the boat. Nobody cares what he does with his time/life. The problem is this thread is obviously cry for attention and people are free to call him out on it if they wish. 

 

There is absolutely 0 reason to come on here and post this other than to stroke his ego or gain acceptance. NOBODY cares

Actually, people seem to care enough to make snarky or "well, ugh bye I guess" type comments. No one is forcing those people to comment at all either.

A cry for attention?, you mean like all the shitty warz thread we get each week or other crappy threads?. Where the hell is everyone screeching at those?.

 

People can do what they want, but they themselves are absolutely not free from being called out in return. 

 

If no one truly cared, no one would be paying attention to the thread, that's a fact like it or not. If you don't care, don't post, if you don't care about something, don't pay any mind to it, it's that simple. 

 

When I look back on this thread, it's really just someone who wanted to talk about selling his property and raising his son. People took the console selling side with zero pinches of salt and decided to come down on him like the a failed crowd of sarcastic comedy. He can sell what he wants, you have zero say in what he can and cannot do with his stuff. I don't ell you how to run your life, don't tell me how to run mine.

Well, if someone doesn't want them I don't see why giving it away to people who do is a bad idea. I wouldn't even be able to get the majority of games I do if it weren't for others wanting to sell their games.

I've done this before and yes, it is a bad idea, spent 2010-late 2013 without being able to play the big hitters after giving away my 360, a ps3 and later my DS. At the time it seemed like a good idea but the friendships died and the possibility of asking for my console back with them however my need and hype for gaming returned. I could have saved myself a nasty drug habit and some pretty shitty choices had I kept those consoles. 

I'm pretty sure the root of the drug habit was not the sale of your consoles.

The 2 people really standing up for this dumb topic are the people who are boasting about how they don't have consoles and are of the stupid meme for pc master race. PC only gamers are kinda like vegans. They shit on people who aren't like them, if they're there they'll make sure you know, and they constantly brag about being a pc gamer even though no one else gives a fuck.
