So i have a question regarding reviews, at least in the case of Snipperclips. I assume the reviews entered in the DB should be for the base game, not the plus version that was released at retail, but I'm unsure

Snipperclips: Cut It Out, Together is currently the game we have in the Database so any reviews should be for that game and not the plus version. Looking at metacritic, the standard and plus versions are seperate so should be treated as such in the DB if the plus version is also added.

Looking at the reviews from Destructoid, they reviewed both the standard edition and the DLC which in this case is considered the plus version.

Alright, thanks for the clarification

Very helpful and detailed information, thanks!

Damn that's one nice tutorial! Big thumbs up!

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

How are we handling Famicom Disk System (FDS) games? Do we treat them as NES games or as a separate system? As an example, Metroid (http://www.vgchartz.com/game/6343/metroid/?region=All) was originally released in Japan on the FDS (http://www.vgchartz.com/game/44164/metroid-fds/?region=All). It never received an NES/Famicom release in Japan.

I think we should change the Metroid FDS console to FDS (instead of NES), link it to the Metroid NES page as an additional version, and remove the Japanese release date from the Metroid NES page (since it was never released in cartridge form on the NES/FC).

Is it OK to add official promo screenshots instead of taking them yourself? And what about games with a rough release date (e.g. Fall) instead of an exact one?

If the screenshot is direct from a publishers/dev website then its fine. For games that dont have confirmed release dates you would put 12/30/2018 and TBA.

Good to know. However, is that a no for an official Steam page (or similar) then? Oh right, there's TBA as well. Having to put a date at all for games without an exact date is a bit stupid though, but whatever.
