No, they don't. All read from these switch fall comments is 100% wishful thinking

So Zhugex is lying about the Switch being less than 900k?

Well no he is not. And notice he said less than 900k, not 800k, which most probably means it's over 800k.

He also said PS4 = 2x Switch, but more importantly he said PS4 = 2x PS4 nov 14. Which most people missed.

So that would put switch at roughly the same number PS4 sold in 2014, which is 831K according to an old but credible source. It's a decent number, quite better than the 750k number that is floating around the web.

So maybe 830k switch sold.

But more interestingly : above 1.6 million PS4s sold, maybe around 1.65 million.

Switch finishing 3rd in NPD on it's launch year might say something about it's long term outlook in NA...not sure what it means (maybe nothing) in the big picture,

It means nothing long term. PS4 & XBO are in their prime, had big discounts and in XBO's case new hardware.

It had either the 3rd or 4th best post-launch November behind XBO (2014) & Wii (2007) and right around PS4 (2014) so the results are good in and of themselves despite being lower than the competitors.

2017 sales for Switch in the US are on track to be right around XBO/PS4 sales in 2014, ~4.5 million.

You’re forgetting the price difference.

Why wouldn't they be excited? Ps4 and xbox one just destroyed the switch. Nintendo fanss were excited when switch won October by a small margin

You just explained the reason why the gaming community is so fucked up. People like you will not be fully happy seeing everybody winning. You all want a loser in the history

Thats just the way it is. I always see Nintendo fans talking down on ps4 and xbox one every week in the japan weekly thread. They like to see their favourite company winning. I play the switch and ps4 and i want them all to do well, including the xbox one. Competition is always good for consumers.

Well if all consoles sold well, then there wouldn't be much competition...

The real shame is not knowing what all 3 console manufactures could of sold had the stock not been an issue with all three throughout the month. The numbers would have been larger, and by how much we will never know.

Pretty sure the Switch didn’t have a stock issue.

Sadly, that is really is on one user for ruining those threads (having watched it for years, it actually improved a lot compared to what it was 3 to 4 years ago), he is banned recently, but he kept downplaying Nintendo all Wii U/3DS last two years, that now the reverse happened, certain reverse users are fighting fire with their own fire.

I've always been one of those, that think PS4 is between hard place in Japan, think even Lawlight agrees with (for once) that Japan home hardware has declined, and that simply yelling beasting at anything is just ridiculous.

What do you mean? If one doesnt do well they might drop out and that means less competition

You do realise you’re talking about the U.S. only?! Worldwide aren’t out yet either but it’s obvious Switch will be way ahead of XBox on a global scale.

Not every console deserves to be a great success. If companies console automatically did great, then what would be the point of trying to satisfy the consumer?
