So this basically means Nintendo is going to make HD ports of the best Wii games... I approve of that.

Perhaps they are using this to build a foundation for when Switch is released in China. Think about it, they build a decent fanbase for Mario/Zelda by offering Galaxy & Twilight Princess on Shield then a year or two later they release Switch with BotW & Odyssey. |
That's good point, Nintendo doesn't have brand recognition in China like it has in rest of world because not single Nintendo system was never released in China and people didnt grow up on Mario, on other hand Nvidia is very strong brand in China because China PC gaming market.

Nintendo probably did a quick emulator.... its not really HD ports, its probably just old Wii games that run at higher resolutions, like what a PC emulator does.
If it can run on a shield, it can probably also run on the Switch too.
Its time for nintendo to put these titles in its nintendo virtual console.

This porting is done buy Nvidia, and it's highly possible that they will be ported later to Switch also.

Super Mario Galaxy in HD still looks better than most games today.

Probably, but that's enough for a quick release. I didn't mean 'port' in a remaster kind of way, so I still approve.
