Nothing more? You never had anything to say in the first place.

Okay, so the level of discourse in this entire topic has been atrocious. You asked for a fair amount of evidence that has been frequently refused. |
Interesting enough I was wrong, it was Two people (not one) that really did it when the concept of this thread was created. So two people is enough to warrant thread, neat, I will keep that in mind.
Actually I agree with Tbone, his statement isn't just about the PS4 its about lunch and everyone's lunch.

Was this thread started because of me? I never (i think) said cannibalism in the MC thread. I said switch is eating ps4 lunch
What was ps4 sales for dec for 2014/2015 each? Then maybe we can compare those 2 years instead of 2016 which is a disadvantage for the ps4

That's absolutely not true. The only reason cannibalism didn't die after the first two people mentioned it was because you brought it up well after that discussion died. You have no proof to claim something as nonsensical as that. |
See you in the next media create thread. I guarantee you you it will be said a lot.

Yep thats right. If sony is not making another Handheld or a Hybrid. How else can they compete with Nintendo. |
They beat them WW . So the are happy giving up Japan yo Nintendo for the global market

Hence why you should get an echo tag on your profile pic.
Louie said: You are right Kerotan, the Switch is not eating into PS4 sales in Japan. As you pointed out last year saw Final Fantasy, the Pro, the Slim and a price cut. It's perfectly normal for sales to be down a bit and we don't even know yet how the PS4 will sell during the holiday season in Japan. |
Finally someone who addressed the point.

OK, so he was specifically referring to Nautilus and Miyamotoo. At least we can work from there.
Ok got an estimate of ps4 holiday sales.
Last 5 weeks of the year...
2014: 198k
2015: 250k
2016: who cares
2017: ???
Ps4 of 2017 should eclipse these sales figures. 2014 ps4 sold i believe total 1mil and ps4 in 2015 was higher. 2017 was believed to be the peak year but recently now its not (still very possible).
If Ps4 imo doesnt surpass those numbers in its last 5weeks then switch is definetly taking sales away from it. Im excluding 2016 because why not
NATO said: The demographics for each platform are different, switch is popular with elementary to high schoolers, and small families, ps4 is popular with the highschool to college age kids, and young men, and because the latter demographic has much less free time than the former, the latter is less likely to buy a games console as they have much less time to enjoy it.
Back to the point, different demographics have different buying patterns and available time patterns, for example early in a year workflow is generally slow, with the days being longer people studying or working gave more time, where as kids and young teens generally make use of the time to play outside and hang out, but the closer to winter you get, the less available time college and university students have, there's exams, cramming, shorter days, businesses ramp up the workload in expectation of the holidays, (December is the most stressful month for workers in japan) where as kids are spending more time in the house bored because it's dark and cold out by 5pm, and schools out for Christmas, so they have much more time for things like gaming. |
Except, again, Nintendo has addressed the demographic data. About 46% of Switch owners are around the age of 25-34 and 23% are around 19-24 years of age. So its basically the college and young men you are talking about in regards to the PS4 demographic. Why are we still talking about as if the Switch is mostly popular among children to high schoolers?

Where can we access sales for q3 and q4 2016 and 2017?
I don't want to go through 48 separate MC threads to add them up..
