Forums - Sales - Japan sales (Week 47): Media Create/Famitsu/Dengeki - November 20-26, 2017

Sure, by adding a video output port to their handheld Nintendo made a great effort to capture the home console market.

Looks like the shortage is well and truly over.

Lmao no its not

Looks to me like it is - Nintendo is just shipping to stores.

Miku did quite good. I think this is close to week 1 sales of the digital version. Future Tone has probably done nearly as good as Diva X with only 1 SKU this time. Bodes well for the future of Project Diva.

Not at all. I always wanted Nintendo to focus on their handheld. Seeing them succeed is excellent. I'm a PC gamer, but I will very likely pick up a Switch in a couple years.

That's a lot of Out Of Stock.  And what is in stock are high priced bundles.

Perhaps Japan is better stocked but pushing 145k before December is pretty big.

Switch sales bother you. A lot.

Not just him, either.

As I said - seems like they’re pushing the stock to brick and mortar stores and not Amazon. Because otherwise, why ship to countries like AU where it’s getting over 20% discounts for BF?

Sony going with a traditional console was no dumb decision coz unlike Nintendo, their home consoles are still going strong worldwide. Nintendo was forced to adapt a new approach seeing as Wii U was a massive failure.

Not to mention Sony wasn't in a position to take risks like that.

But this is about Japan, my point with a few others like (acevil) was PS4 worldwide great but Japan it is okayish while others claimed it was doing great because Japan has become a smaller market because of mobile.

I think that's purely to do with expectations. People may think it's doing great, but only because many people had written it off as a failure in the market and that no dedicated console could have success any more. PS4 will almost certainly pass PS3 and that's something that very few would have predicted.

The myth that switch is cannibalizing ps4 sales.

If switch didn't exist ps4 would be still under 30k. There's not any reason for it to be over it.

Sales are nicely up on last year and it will finish as such. It's beating ps3 easily right now. If you want it to be selling more there needs to be a ps4 hybrid released.

So even with having no new games the Switch killed everything?

Switch could literally get zero new releases in December and still outsell everyone else combined. At the moment its sales are dependent on stock, not games.

Since you bailed out last week and have nothing to say about nintendo this week maybe from now on just keep your posting sony related like this. Thans keep it. Up
