Playtonic worked directly with Nintendo and Unity to optimise the new version of the game, it will run at 900p in docked mode, and 600p in handheld mode. Yooka-Laylee is heading to Switch on December 14.

Resolution is not what is important for a game like this. What is FPS, or is the FPS stable more importantly.

900p is HD and 600p on a 6.2" screen looks better than 1080p on a huge TV.

I was going to defend you by saying that full HD is techincally 1080p + .. but apparently there is literally a term called "HD Ready" that means 720p. Didn't even know that term existed!

So ... you're wrong techincally.

How does the resolution compare to the PS4/xb1 version?

I think it will cost $40 (yes, relatively high), ps4 and x1 both run at 1080p/30fps.
