This result was expected from GameStop. Their PS4 deal was way better than Xbone deal there. The opposite holds true for stores like target.

and last gen the 360 obliterated the PS3, dunno what you're talking (unless you're talking worldwide, which this thread isn't related to)

Yes 360 sold roughly double the consoles in America last gen as ps3.

Just gonna leave this here.

PS4 is doing fantastic.
And as I said in another thread the Switch BF deal is being available.

The Switch is everyones top system as far as wish lists go in the US. The problem is supply. Nintendo's never been worse at it.

will you guys stop talking about stock, its available at best buy and gamestop, along with walmart online.  black friday is finished and consoles are still available to buy online. also that target article is BS.

No, we can't stop putting every single good news about Switch above the rest.

Wait a minute. What happened to all that Xbox One X selling so well?

Well, it isn't name PS4 or Switch, so it didn't done as good in BF.

Not surprised by the PS4, but surprised the Pro was the best selling online.

It's a solid system, and first official deal (PS4 at 350 done quite good at the time as well) but surely the ranking is crazy.

it actually doesnt say that.

That's actually true... Haha! But it does say it's one of the most popular items (don't mention PS4 or Xbox One X).

There is no need to mention consoles that have been doing good every single BF. And perhaps they just wanted to focus on the new guy (although forgeting X1X released this month isn't good)

Not everywhere has the Switch in stock, that's certainly true. Amazon and Wal-Mart both seem to be sold out while Target, and Best Buy have it in stock and Gamestop has the Gray system online but not the Neon.

It's more difficult to find the $199 PS4 though, as none of the mentioned retailers have it.

The concept here is both base systems are available. You can't compare a special Black Friday deal to a base console. That's oranges to apples.

The concept here is that we're talking about BF. So the fact that you can find Switch at the BF price in several stores (perhaps not all colors/bundles at every single store) so its sales wasn't impacted by stock, but you can't find PS4 199 "at all" so it certainly affected sales.

PS4 currently leads Xbox WW by approximately 35-36mil consoles. Microsoft isn’t making that up no matter what they do. They are very close in America however and remain very competitive. But WW, this gen was “long gone” a long time ago.

Last December npd Sony barely won with a figure of 1.56 mil Vs XB’s 1.51mil. Thanks to the Pro. If not for pro, Xbox would have won last December. Xbox could very well win this month thanks to X and $189 S. There’s just no way to know yet. All three performed exceptionally well this Black Friday.

This year on USA PS4 have been doing much better than X1. But sure Nov and Dec NPD MS could give us a surprise. But so far from what we have, November won't be the month for it.

That's why this is so important. Black Friday and November/ December were the core months Microsoft could pose a major threat to Sony in the NPD's. Sony would close in on them worldwide regardless. If Sony wins black friday and November and December NPD's, they could pull away in America in general. I've been hearing that the base PS4 has been selling out like crazy. All three performed well, but you dont always hear that Sony beat Microsoft in the NPD in November or December. Microsoft fights tooth and nail for Black Friday because November is the core month when they truly have a shot at fighting back. If they dont even have that, its very telling. Lets see how it goes for Black friday and the month.

I meant exactly what I said. Microsoft's only real stand is in November and December, and if they don't win those in America, the war is lost for the gen is lost because the gap will begin to potentially widen.

That article was already torn apart yesterday on resetera. Benji pointed out that’s PR from target and not to take anything seriously from it. “It means nothing”. ~ Benji”

It also showed psvr selling better than base PS4. That’s obviously not true. Target might have been impressed with switch sales but the bigger picture shows PS4/X1 far outpacing It according to Benji and other insiders.

Yes, many gamers did jump ship from the PS2 to 360 because Microsoft had a more competitive price point, and turned many PS2 exclusive third party franchises into multiplats. It made the 360 Virtually indistinguishable to the PS3 until 2009. Hell...almost all of Microsofts megatons at E3 had nothing to do with making games, but rather making exclusives multiplats. Of course, America is the easiest battleground to see that through  (especially when you're dealing with culture)
