Forums - Sony - PSVR: With The Success Of Skyrim, What Next?

I would love to see ICO, SotC and TLG in VR. Team ICO does scale and immersion like no other, those worlds will be incredible in VR. 3rd person VR games work perfectly fine.

A first person souls game should work as well. Exploring those catacombs in VR will be amazing. Plus co-op with other people will feel very different in VR.

Resistance 3 should be great in VR, lovely campaign. Max Payne as well, bullet time in VR!

Damn those of weak constitution, give me 120 fps Wipeout in VR!

Detroit become human should be in VR

And the one to sell headsets. GTA 5 VR, worked great in first person, now add VR. The world isn't ready for that yet unfortunately.

Playing far cry primal currently. Not too graphically heavy and would be amazing in VR

Oh indeed, far cry games are a good match for VR. Is Primal the one where you can possess creatures? Those kind of perspective shifts should be pretty cool in VR.

God, I would love to experience some of the sequences in "Everybody's Gone to the Rapture" in VR. Same with Flower. No Man's Sky would be brilliant in VR.

Man.. so much this! Even Journey would work.

Can’t wait for Dreams in VR at PSX!

Armored Core.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I would like to see most AAA development studios get at least one project out, either built for VR or re-tooled. Right now I believe getting expereince is the most important part of this generation of VR. That goes for both the developers and the consumers.

This generation should build a foundation, that gives developers the skill set to build strong VR titles when next gen VR arrives. It also needs to get the consumers conitioned for VR. We need to get people over the inital break in period were VR overwhelms and causes discomfort for some. Most people don't perform quick moving, quick thinking tasks, and I think that is portion of why some have to take getting into VR slow.

My hope is that by the time we move to PS5 and PSVR 2, we can have full locomotion, quick pace titles from day one. Obviously, keep the comfort options, but make sure those that don't need training wheels have full freedom to enjoy the expereince.

I would like to see GTA5, Horizon, MLB The Show, Ratchet and Clank, Wipeout, Call of Duty, Madden, and many more either fully built for VR, re-tooled for VR, or have a substantial VR champian or multiplayer option during this gen. I hope to see VR greatly expanded in Gran Turismo Sport as the services grows over the next few years. Finally, Home in VR would be a killer app, basically the ultimate social platform.

Next gen I expect Gran Theft Auto 6 to be a VR exclusive. I expect Call of Duty to be VR exclusive. Basically, I believe most AAA titles should be built from the ground up for VR by next gen. I do not want to go back to the wheel chair, handcuffs, and head brace gaming of the past. That will be great for the indie scence, but from AAA I want AAA expereinces, with the freedom to move my head, my eyes, my hands, and my feet, while being completely transported into the game.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. I like your style. What if you in a new PS Home you can build your home in your community, see a collection of all your trophies somehow.

I can definitly see that. Basically, with Home in VR, I can't really see a limit to the possabilities. I already know that the interaction with others is on another level, just from the co-op in Far Point and Arizona Sunshine. I could see a bowling ally, carnival space, arcade, go carts, laser tag, theme park, and of course the game spaces and store fronts/promotional spaces like Home Beta had. Then why not through in a golf course, a baseball field, a basketball court, honestly I could go on and on.

Make all of this part of the basic PS+ subscription and you have a game changer. Like you said, allow us to display trophies, or even more rare in game achievements in our home space. Allow us to have the massion/estate of our dreams, where we can add  fun activities like the baseball court, ping pong tables, air hockey, ect. into our home area.

We were so close already to having a gaming utopia with the orginal Home, I hope that achieveing that is a reality in the future with VR.

Oooooh I love speculating about PSVR2!

Personally, I'm expecting a single 4K display or maybe something weird like a pair of 1800p displays. I think that's most likely because that's already a huge jump in pixel count (4 and 5.6 times respectively) but won't require nearly the horsepower of two 4K displays which leaves more resources for other graphical improvements and better performance. Beyond that I do also expect inside out tracking, a new type of motion controller, and while I don't expect wireless to be standard, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's an option.
