I don't think that this really surprises anyone. Sales are to increase demand. When they already can't meet demand, why would they throw away money?

I don't see how anyone would've even been expecting anything at all. The Switch is going to sell out this Christmas with or without sales.

Why would they slash the price when they are still selling each and everyone they can produce?! 

You cut price to increase demand but demand for Switch is already pretty high. It would make no sense business-wise.

Its the first year, so Im not surprised. PS4 didnt have any major deals its first year either
