3DS is a different type of device that sells for less and makes them more profit. Switch while portable isn't exactly a pocket portable like 3DS. Once the PS5 is released in 2019 Sony will stop producing the standard PS4 and drop the price on the PS4 Pro making it the bargain 4K console and the PS5 the next gen powerhouse. Nintendo will be done with the switch by 2020.

Youre acting like revisions and price cuts dont exist, yes Switch is big and expensive for a handheld at the moment but what happens if Nintendo releases a $199 Switch Lite in 2019?

It doesn't really matter, fact is that every game can run on Switch. On more demanding games they can more downgrade visuals, Switch version of Doom has almost all effects same like PS4/XB1 versions and strong AA, they could turn of some of those effecta and AA and go for higher resolution for instance. Just for record, Doom on PS4 works on dynamic 1080p resolution and have frame rate dips to 50 FPS, XB1 version of game runs most of time at 865p and have frame rate to 40 fps.

Your posts again didn't make too much sense.

doom has a lot of effects down graded, regardless  the most demanding thing in graphics is resolution and fps and thats already at 600p, running at 20-30fps when intense battles happen, and its not just about graphics, its about cpu,  demanding games designed for ps4/xb1 are taking full advantage of 7 cores, while switch only has 3. so fact is some games cannot run on switch, unless they build it from the ground up, and make a different game basically.

Doom for Switch has most of effects like PS4 version of game and strong AA. Again, every PS4 game can run on Switch, point is only how much downgrade would be, and of course that devs will downgrade existing game, they will not make from ground same game just for Switch. Doom on Switch is still same Doom game, visually downgraded and with lower FPS but again same Doom game like DF reported.

Every game might be pushing it, Doom & Wolfenstein show that a majority of PS4/XBO games can likely run on Switch but we dont know if all games can be downported to an acceptable level.

If we had CoD games from PS3/Xbox360 ported to Wii, where power difference between Wii and PS3/360 is much bigger than between Switch and PS4/XB1, we can say that every PS4 game can be ported to Switch.

you seem delusional, dude doom runs 1080p/60fps on ps4, do you understand  that  30fps to 60fps is more demanding then 720p to 1080p, resolution and frame rate are the most demanding aspect of games, i'm sure if panic button would have down graded it more if they could to run it at 60fps, but the bottleneck probably came from the cpu. dooms down grades show a 5x jump in ps4 power, a 30fps demanding game won't have that luxury.

Apples to oranges, Call of Duty was never considered one of the most demanding games on PS3/360. Like others have said what happens when a game is pushing PS4 to its limits and runs at 30FPS, what will it be on Switch? 10-15FPS?

Sure every PS4 game can probably be ported to Switch but the real question is can all of them be ported while maintaining acceptable performance? We dont know yet.

you are talking about a game being redone, cod wii is a different game, it's doesn't share the same assets as the 360/ps3 version.

Regardless visual differences, it still same CoD game.

Its not, but thats classing "next game" of that generation, and in any case we talk about much bigger power difrence. What hapens when a game is pushing PS4 to its limits and runs at 30FPS!? Bigger visual downgrades, but that doesn't need to mean that game would be run in less than 30 fps on Switch. Games that usually run at 30 FPS are pushing visuals, for instance Ratchet and Clank is 30 FPS on PS4, but it could run at 60 fps with downgraded visuals of Sony wanted that.

You start with aiming at 30 fps, and than just go with best visuals you can get maintaining FPS of around 30.

if you are talking about a reworking then any port can be done, it's way more expensive and time consuming, but running the same code, which what most ports are, won't work on switch.
