game #7

Hint 1: After a god was killed a few years ago, it happens that childs are born without a soul.

Hint 2: It was financed by one of the most successful crowdfunding-campaigns.

Hint 3: This RPG was the spiritual successor of one of the games I already had on the list.

game #6

Hint 1: You explore the lands you live: the bodies of dead or sleeping gods.

Hint 2: For reasons unknown it was difficult to get this game release in the US, although in europe a release with an english translation already existed.

#6 Xenoblade Chronicles

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

#8 Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemist of the Dusk Sky / PS3

My first Atelier game, a series I got into not too long ago and with no knowledge of it, just saw the box and decided it looked cute and got it, was really surprised by how good it was, from its simple to understand yet really deep crafting mechanics, time based objectives and managing, fun and simple turn based combat, a soundtrack that most games wished they could have (that goes for all the Ateliers I played, this series is as good as it gets for RPGs), great artsyle and with a very personal and cozy story, like instead of saving the world, you are just helping a town and explore the land around it, it was one of the most unique RPG experiences I ever had and the best Atelier in terms of mechanics and polish.

#4 hint: 1 of the many spinoffs of my favourite franchise.

You're like Mr Pokemon so I'm gonna guess that's your favourite franchise. So many spinoffs though it's hard to guess just one. Hmm.... Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky?

0.0.... how? I mean it is explorers of time/darkness since I never played sky but its pretty much the superior version and I wish I had played it but dang.... I'm impressed.

Correct,

my greatest games: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024

10 years greatest game event!

bets: [peak year] [+], [1], [2], [3], [4]

One game left to guess.

game #7

Hint 1: After a god was killed a few years ago, it happens that childs are born without a soul.

Hint 2: It was financed by one of the most successful crowdfunding-campaigns.

Hint 3: This RPG was the spiritual successor of one of the games I already had on the list.

Hint 4: Some arcane mystics fill the childs born without soul with the soul of an animal. This backfires.

game #6

Hint 1: You explore the lands you live: the bodies of dead or sleeping gods.

Hint 2: For reasons unknown it was difficult to get this game release in the US, although in europe a release with an english translation already existed.

Guessed by Slarvax: Xenoblade Chronicles.

game #5

Hint 1: One of the most successful launch-titles ever for a new console.

Guessed by S.Peelman: Zelda Breath of the Wild

game #4

Hint 1: This turn-based strategy game is one of the most successful entries in the series, although it got criticized because one gameplay element of the series could be deactivated for a playthrough to make it easier/more accessible.

Guessed by Flilix: Fire Emblem Awakening

3DS-FC: 4511-1768-7903 (Mii-Name: Mnementh), Nintendo-Network-ID: Mnementh, Switch: SW-7706-3819-9381 (Mnementh)

I missed quite a bit so I'm just going to skip to my top 10...

#10 One of the most successful games of all time.
#9 If you were a kid during the 90s you probably played this game. You definitely knew of it even if you didn't!
#8 Just.... one..... more..... turn
#7 Recently had its name tarnished by a much maligned new game.
#6 Time to split!
#5 Swear brotherhood, call lightning down on to the battlefield, ride a red horse and get elephants all while conquering China.
#4 The contributions of a certain person who is unfortunately no longer with us played a large role in making this one of my favourite games of all time.
#3 Not as talked about as some of the others, yet still one of the greatest entries in a certain long running franchise.
#2 Seems to be the marmite of a certain franchise. Those that like it tend to really like it, while those that don't seem to really hate it.
#1 The greatest game of all time, obviously.

#9 Pokémon Red & Blue?
#5 Romance of the Three Kingdoms something?
#4 Pokémon Gold & Silver?
#1 Final Fantasy XI or X... I'll go with X.
