Makes a lot of sense from EA's perspective.

Makes no sense at all for Respawn though. Didn't they leave Activision to form their own independent studio? And now they're under some big scummy publisher again?

Many of the devs at respspawn actually used to be under EA and made the good Medal of Honor games back in the day. Then they went on and formed Infintiy ward and worked on COD until MW2. After that like 90% of infinity ward was fired by activision, they went on to form Respawn and reunite with EA for Titanfall and Titanfall 2.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

This. Really, this seems so nonsensical.

Makes tons of sense.  $455 million dollars for the shareholders.  They were working with EA anyway.  So, not much will change.  Why not sell the company before they release a dud and the value drops by $200mm?

I'd mourn, but I happen to recall that the developer was one who was particularly annoying about Switch power

"No. F*** no. No you're not going to be able to fit Titanfall on it. That's the same Zelda from the Wii U [laughs]."

.....I am not going to particularly miss them.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

RIP

Rip indeed
