Forums - Nintendo - Take-Two very pleased with NBA 2K18’s sales on Switch, “supportive of the platform corporately”

Didn't NBA2K go from 60 to 30 fps and have a few other problems with gameplay on the Switch?  I suppose people don't give a shit about fps like they do on this site.

Yes it was lower frame rate, but that's not really a feature. That really just performance. For bugs, I heard it has some that other version didn't have but the more serious ones were constant through all version. Such as the issue with the game deleting my player save files.

I bet if you asked most of the people buying this game on any platform about FPS, they would no idea what you're talking about, or really care all that much.

I guess this supports my theory that the general public has already gotten used to the idea of sticking microSD cards into every device they can. L. A. Noire and Doom will be just fine.

Hopefully this means Take-Two is now committing to supporting the Switch on a long term, regular basis.

No Rockstar, if you want to reach that 100 million units shipped milestone even faster, may I make a suggestion?

Grand Theft Auto V for Nintendo Switch.

So even a Sports games that required a Micro SD card littered with microtransactions is successful. Well that's another game added to "3rd party successes" on the Switch list. I am still waiting for a Switch game to bomb

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

FIFA?I

Nah. Besides UK I heard it did decently everywhere else. However I rather just wait for EA's response to sales before I make any big statements. However I would be surprised if the 2K did well but FIFA didn't since FIFA is a bigger franchise.

The Japan exclusive Tecmo Koei games flopped, they're not coming over to the West either.

Bittersweet news to be honest, its nice that they're happy... But that "sd card required" thing isn't sitting well with me.

Pretty sure it flopped but ok .... "waiting for a Switch game to flop" isn't a good standard of success either especially when there's already a lot of games out there

I guess releasing a feature parity version of your game turns out to actually make your game sell well
*stares a EA

Like others have said, fps would be an aspect of performance rather than a feature.

Lower performance is expected and tolerated (within reason) since Switch is not as powerful as the other systems and on top of that the added benefit of portability can cause people to overlook small issues.

GTA V portable = $$$
Nintendo is back baby

I could really see Switch GTA V coming. It's relatively cheap to do and no real drawbacks about the move.

Pretty much; it's a no brainer, even the last gen version bumped up to 1080p when docked would sell.
