Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 19% of Ubisoft's Q2 revenue came from Switch

It starts.

Got me thinking about the Switch as a whole.  It's almost scary how much the thing is going to dominate the market.  Nintendo's found the answer to it's Wii ghost chase, only this time, it's not riding a fad wave.

All first party support, good advertising, catching up in some ways with the good parts of the industry standards{region lock, universal charge port).

And of course, Pokemon's going to guarantee at least 40m LT.  But if Gamefreak pushes the boat out and delivers a reinvention or return to perfect form like Zelda and Mario have respectively... jeez.

Good for them, this may mean they'll bring other games into the system. They could always make a port of that new South Park game, it would fit there nicely.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

South Park fitting in with Nintendo's E-rated approach?  You might want to think about that for a second.

Doom came to the Switch, the Binding of Isaac came to the Switch, I don't see why South Park couldn't make it. I think they could even make a joke about now Nintendo allows more mature games on their systems now.

At the same time it was one of Ubisoft's slower quarters since their only noteworthy release was none other than Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle ...

Yeah, the other platforms have software sales for earlier released software, while Switch has nothing of that so far. Next years will be more interesting, if the sales of older software amount to something.

Doom, Resident Evil, The Binding of Isaac, L.A. Noire and Wolfenstein are all natural fits? You might want to think about that for a second.

Playing Monster Hunter Stories makes me really want a Pokemon in 3rd person.

that's very good! i wish good sales to this title. it is pretty awesome!

Switch!!!

So they had 2 new releases for Switch that quarter and nothing else. And Switch revenue was outdone 1:4 against platforms that got nothing. Does that mean Kingom Battle tanked?

Now I'm interested if they'll be able to hold 5% for the whole fiscal year.

Good news for Nintendo Support. But would be good to see what games contributed to each platform.
