For about 2 weeks we have a problem with the notification links. When I go to my notifications and click on the article link, I get linked to the main page instead of the article. Before 2 weeks I got directly to the article. Why have this been changed? It's very uncomfortable now to check comments on a previous comment, because you need to search the article manually.

I don't know if the length of ongoing threads like the official MS and PS ones for example have been discussed before, but I find it a bit tedious to see the latest heading and then jump to the last page of the thread and work backwards to get to where that particular discussion started my solution would be to divide these threads threads by month so when it appeared on the main page you would see say the official MS thread June edition and so on.

Question: How would you feel if we merged Music, Sports and Movie Discussion into one called "Entertainment Discussion".

General, Politics and NSFW would remain separate.

Here's a tiny glimpse at the new front page we're working on. We're thinking of trying to cut down so it's not so much scrolling, we merged Sales topics as that was just an obvious decision but we want feedback on others.

I would prefer they remain separate. I definitely gravitate more towards music threads. Having said that, it's whatever. If it happens, I doubt it would bother me too much. If it did, I might bitch a bit before moving on and eating some more pizza.

I think I'm going to need a little more detail - or, at the very least, a screenshot of what your notification list looks like (along with the link it's taking you to)? This sounds like a bug of some sort.

I'm looking into this...

If I go to my notifications ( https://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/notifications/ ) and click on the title of an article in my notifications (for example "PS5 to 'Deliver Diverse and Sophisticated 3D Audio Experiences'" which has the link http://www.vgchartz.com/article/443597/ps5-to-deliver-diverse-and-sophisticated-3d-audio-experiences/%20%20?expand_comment=596652&#comment_596652 then I get directed to https://www.vgchartz.com/#comment_596652 which only shows the title page and not the article page.

Somehow the article referring path gets missing.

I'm having an issue with image uploading. I have 3 images I'm adding to my post. All 3 are under the 500 Kb limit. Upon hitting submit, the screen goes white and nothing appears to happen. I've seen the a couple of times before but wasn't sure it it was just a notwork issue. Opening another tab to check the thread usually proved that the post was published just fine....but not this time.

If I hit the back button, the editor reloads with the content still there. Same problem if I resubmit.

Win 10 latest.
FF latest.

If the issue is the images are simply getting too close to the 500 Kb limit, I can remotely host them.

If you click on the "number of new" link in the Hot Topics box on the front page (or, as SpokenTruth recommended, clicking the thread from your Buddy List), you should be taken to the last post you read (not the end of the thread)

thanks guys.I did a facepalm when I saw the "number of new" link , after 12 years on this site  you would think I would learn to pay pay attention, still I blame Talon for hiding stuff in plain sight.

One big issue this site should fix is the Cookies framework as an opt in and not an opt-out.
Clear distinction for accepting all advertising cookies or essential cookies. This is important, because the site is available to users from EU, where GDPR is applicable and can lead to big fines, if found by a Data Protection Authority. As a person working in data privacy, i advise you to look into it as a high-level priority

2 remarks regarding charting old stuff

EDIT if its possible at all since i only noticed just now the PS2/OG xbox and GC are also gone from the weekly charts from that era

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

It has a dark mode, yes. Check your profile settings, preferences and the first thing you'll see is a site theme option.
